The biggest earthquake to strike the Hispaniola region in more than 200 years struck just off the coast of Haiti Tuesday afternoon. The magnitude 7.0 tremor destroyed thousands of buildings from hospitals to hotels, even the presidential palace. Communications make it difficult to evaluate all the damage, which is expected to be devastating. Haiti is already the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. Port-au-Prince, the nation’s capitol city, is home to 2-million people. For news updates throughout the day, tune in FOX News/Talk 1430 WXNT.
