TAYLOR SWIFT'S new album "Red" sold 1.21 MILLION copies in its first week . . . that's more than any album has sold in its debut week in 10 YEARS.
--It's the most since EMINEM'Sdisc "The Eminem Show" surpassed 1.3 million in sales in its first week in 2002. N' SYNC holds the record for the best opening week. Their album "No Strings Attached" sold 2.4 million copies in 2000.
--"Red" is also just the 18th album to sell a million copies in a single week since SoundScan started tracking sales in 1991. Another of those also belongs to Taylor. Her last album, "Speak Now", sold 1.05 million copies in its first week.

It's Official: Another "Star Wars" Trilogy Is on the Way
In somewhat of a surprise move, Disney has announced that they've purchased GEORGE LUCAS' production company, Lucasfilm, for $4.05 BILLION.
--And even more surprisingly, Disney says a SEVENTH "Star Wars" movie is in the works . . . and will be released in 2015. It's being referred to as "Star Wars, Episode Seven", so it would follow the events of "Return of the Jedi".
--This will be the beginning of a THIRD trilogy, which will include two more movies . . . and potentially more. A Disney suit says, quote, "Our long-term plan is to release a new 'Star Wars' feature film every two to three years.
--"The deal [to acquire Lucasfilm came with] an extensive, and detailed treatment for the next three movies."
--George Lucas will serve as a "creative consultant" on the new "Star Wars" movies, but he won't be writing or directing them. In a statement, he said, quote, "It's now time for me to pass 'Star Wars' on to a new generation of filmmakers."

Tom Cruise's Drunk Neighbor Was Tased for Climbing Over His Wall
A neighbor of TOM CRUISE got drunk and climbed over the wall around Tom's house . . . and got TASED for his efforts. Here's what happened . . .
--A 41-year-old Australian interior designer and reality TV star named Jason Sullivan has been staying at the home of Tom's manager, Kevin Huvane. Huvane's house is adjacent to Tom's.
--Well, Sullivan went out Sunday night and got HAMMERED. When he was dropped off in the neighborhood early yesterday morning, he apparently mistook Tom's house for Kevin's.
--He climbed the wall, where he was spotted by one of Tom's security guards, who told him to stop. But instead, Sullivan kept walking toward Tom's house, so the guard tased him. Twice.
--Police were called and Sullivan was arrested for trespassing. He was also treated for injuries he suffered during the tasing.
--Tom does NOT want to pursue charges against Sullivan, because he realizes the guy made a mistake. His lawyer says, quote, "Tom's not a vindictive guy. The guy was drunk. He didn't have a malicious intent."

Justin Timberlake Has Apologized for the Video of Homeless People Congratulating Him on His Wedding
Last week, word leaked out about a video from JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE and JESSICA BIEL'S $6.5 million wedding in Italy. One of Justin's friends made a video called "Greetings From Your Hollywood Friend Who Just Couldn't Make It."
--The video featured eight-and-a-half minutes of HOMELESS PEOPLE, transvestites, and street performers wishing Justin and Jessica well.
--Naturally, EVERYONE jumped on it and said making fun of poor homeless people at a $6.5 million celebrity wedding was in HORRIBLE TASTE.
--And on Friday, Justin Timberlake AGREED. He posted an open letter on his website apologizing for the video . . . even though he didn't make it and, quote, "had no knowledge of its existence" before it was shown.
--Quote, "I am NOT defending the video . . . it's not who I am as a professional or as a man . . . I don't live my life making fun of people, especially those who are less fortunate or those in need."
--He also says his friends are GOOD PEOPLE and this was just a lapse in judgment.

It Took Three Weeks, But "Argo" Has Finally Hit #1 at the Box Office
It took three weeks, but BEN AFFLECK'S"Argo" is the new #1 movie in America. It made another $12.4 million this weekend to take the top spot at an overall sluggish box office.
--"Cloud Atlas", starring TOM HANKS and HALLE BERRY, underperformed with just $9.4 million in 3rd place . . . although it had the highest per-screen average of any movie in the Top 10. And "Silent Hill: Revelation 3D" made $8 million in 5th place. Here are this week's Top 5 movies:
1.) "Argo", $12.4 million. Up to $60.8 million in its 3rd week.
2.) "Hotel Transylvania", $9.5 million. Up to $130 million in its 5th week.

Is It Justin Timberlake's Fault That Britney Spears Went Crazy?
On Friday, lawyers for BRITNEY SPEARS and her family gave their opening statement in the defamation trial brought against the family by Britney's former manager Sam Lutfi.
--And here's something interesting we found out: Britney's insanity may have been JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE'S FAULT.
--The attorneys said that before her relationship with Justin, Britney was a, quote, "ray of light." But the relationship "ended painfully", and she became angry and depressed afterward.
--The breakup started a downward spiral that included Britney's impulsive and brief marriage to a childhood friend named Jason "Not the Guy From 'Seinfeld'" Alexander.
--Ironically, the KEVIN FEDERLINE years were actually a RELIEF to Britney's parents . . . because they represented a relatively calm period. But after THEY split up, Britney went off the deep end again.
--That's when Sam came in, and made things WORSE. The attorneys said, quote, "At the point that she is at her most vulnerable, she meets Mr. Lutfi" . . . who was "totally unqualified to manage a superstar."
--One of the attorneys also claimed that Sam would hide Britney's dog and watch her go mental over it . . . then play the hero by "finding" it for her.
Michael Lohan Showed Up at Lindsay's House to Stage an "Intervention"
LINDSAY LOHAN'S psycho dad MICHAEL showed up at her house on Friday with a few other people . . . supposedly to stage an "intervention".
--They were met at the door by a guy who claimed to be Lindsay's boyfriend. He refused to let Michael and his crew in. Someone inside Lindsay's house even called the cops to come straighten things out. Eventually everyone left.
--Now, I know what your first thought is: Michael Lohan is just looking for publicity and a way to force his way back into Lindsay's life again.
--But he claims that everyone from Lindsay's manager to her attorneys are in his corner. And TMZ claims to have seen e-mails that prove it.
--In one e-mail, Michael says that she's drinking, quote, "between a bottle and a bottle and a half of vodka per day." He also suggests she's snorting cocaine and using Adderall.
--And Lindsay's manager says he's been hearing the same things.
--Sources close to Lindsay say she has NOT relapsed and doesn't need treatment.
--She thinks her dad is doing this to her because she completely cut him off after he recorded the phone conversation they had when she and her mom DINA got into that fight in the back of a limo.

--The porno company Vivid Entertainment wants Kate to host a show on their new channel, VividTV. She wouldn't have to be nude all the time . . . but yes, the gig does involve her taking off her clothes now and then.

ADELEhas given birth to a baby boy. There's no word on the exact birth date, or the kid's name. This is Adele's first child. She's 24 years old.

Rosie O'Donnell Wants to Buy Honey Boo Boo's Family a New House

It's Official: "The Bachelor" Is Now 0-for-16
If you watch "The Bachelor", there's endless talk about "amazing journeys" and "connections" . . . but none of that seems to translate to REAL life.
--Over the weekend, the latest "Bachelor"BEN FLAJNIK and his "Chosen One" COURTNEY ROBERTSON announced they've officially ended their relationship. This means "The Bachelor" is now 0-for-16 in creating lasting relationships.
--Ben confirmed the split, but didn't elaborate on the situation. This isn't a surprise though . . . in addition to it being a "Bachelor" relationship, there was talk that things weren't working out WHILE his season was airing.
--He'd apparently been caught hooking up with other women, and on the finale he admitted that things with Courtney had been "a rough ride" . . . but they gave it a go as a long-distance relationship over the summer.

"Taken 2" Topped the Box Office with $50 Million
The LIAM NEESON sequel "Taken 2" easily topped the box office this weekend with $50 million. That's more than double the $24.7 million opening weekend that the original "Taken" had back in 2009.

Mariah Carey Says Nicki Minaj *Did* Threaten to Shoot Her
There was talk that NICKI MINAJ threatened to KILL MARIAH CAREY after their "situation" on the "American Idol" set on Tuesday . . . but a producer from the show denied it.
--However, Mariah believes she DID say it.
--On "The View" yesterday, BARBARA WALTERS said that she talked to Mariah before the show taped, and Mariah told her that when Nicki walked off the set, "multiple people" heard her say "If I had a gun, I would shoot that [B-word]."
--Mariah said she was "very concerned." She doesn't actually think anything would happen, but she said, quote, "Nicki is unpredictable, and I can't take a chance, so I've hired extra security."

Did La Toya Jackson Take Bags of Money From Michael's House After He Died?
Are you ready for even MORE Jackson Family Chaos? We've got some, courtesy of a new book called "Untouchable: The Strange Life and Tragic Death of Michael Jackson" by a guy named Randall Sullivan.
--The book says that after Michael died in June of 2009, LA TOYA JACKSON and her boyfriend showed up at the house, demanding to be let in. Michael's mother KATHERINE arrived soon after.
--Once they got in, they called a woman who had been the longtime nanny of Michael's kids before being fired. Apparently, Michael was in the habit of stashing money in plastic bags and under carpets, and she knew where it was.
--They asked the ex-nanny where to find it . . . and a security staff member says he watched La Toya and her boyfriend load the bags of money into duffel bags and place them in the garage.
--JANET JACKSON showed up with a moving van the next day . . . we assume to remove the bags.
--The book also discusses the craziness that happened earlier this year when some of Michael's siblings took their mother to a spa in Arizona and wouldn't let her contact Michael's kids.
--Not surprisingly, the book claims that was an attempt to gain a conservatorship over her . . . which would have given them control of her portion of Michael's estate.

Someone Reported a Fake Home Invasion at Ashton Kutcher's House
Over the summer, someone reported a HOME INVASION at MILEY CYRUS'house. It turned out to be a prank, but it got cops rushing to the scene and setting up a perimeter before they figured that out. They even had a helicopter flying overhead.
--Turns out this is a prank that's growing in popularity. It's called SWATTING. And yesterday, somebody did it to ASHTON KUTCHER.
--Yesterday morning, someone sent a TELETYPE message . . . which is a type of communication that DEAF PEOPLE use . . . to police. The message claimed to be from a woman who was trapped in a closet because there was an armed man in the house.
--Police showed up, but they didn't find a gunman OR a woman. They did temporarily detain three people . . . but they turned out to be workers who were supposed to be there.
--Ashton was on set at the time, and he Tweeted, quote, "Safe and sound at two and a half men." He also sent an assistant to the house to make sure everything was cool.

THE SITUATION went to rehab for substance abuse back in March . . . and this season of "Jersey Shore" will apparently feature him living the SOBER LIFE.

In a new Australian interview, NICOLE KIDMAN talks about her battle with depression . . . especially after her breakup with TOM CRUISE.
--She says, quote, "I got married really fast and really young. But I don't regret that because it got me (my children) Bella and Connor and I did have a fantastic marriage for a long period.
--"Then when it didn't work out I had to really dig deep and find my way through depression. I have no regrets about all of it. It was all part of growing up."

Forbes.com has released its list of the Highest-Paid Women in Entertainment . . . and OPRAH WINFREY tops it, earning $165 million in the year between May of 2011 and May of 2012.
--Next year, Oprah probably won't be that high. There's no more revenue from "The Oprah Winfrey Show", which she took off the air last year. And she has yet to take a salary from her OWN TV channel.
--Her only sources of income now are the shows she produces, like "Dr. Phil" and "Rachael Ray" . . . plus "O" magazine and her satellite radio station. She has a net worth of $2.7 billion, though, so she'll be okay.

--A source says, quote, "Katy has been dreading October 23rd for weeks now and has been trying to think of ways to turn it into something positive.

"Family Guy" Creator Seth MacFarlane Will Host the Oscars
This just in: Everyone wants "Family Guy" creator SETH MACFARLANE to host EVERYTHING.
--The Academy has announced that Seth will host the OSCARS on February 24th. Last month, he hosted "Saturday Night Live", and presented at the Emmys. He also hosted Comedy Central's CHARLIE SHEEN roast a while back.
--Seth posted a scripted video of him announcing the news to his dad, who seemed more interested in giving Seth some of his old, "barely-used" swimming trunks.
Taylor Swift Says John Mayer is "Presumptuous" For Thinking "Dear John" Was About Him
Not long ago, JOHN MAYER put TAYLOR SWIFT on blast for supposedly writing the song "Dear John" about their failed relationship. He called it, quote, "cheap songwriting" and "a really lousy thing for her to do."
--Well, in the new issue of "Glamour" magazine, Taylor makes it clear that the song might not even be about John in the first place. She says, quote, "How presumptuous! I never disclose who my songs are about."
--She also says she purposely never read what John said about her or the song . . . quote, "I know it wasn't good, so I don't want to know. I put a high priority on staying happy, and I know what I can't handle."
--She adds, quote, "It's not that I'm this egomaniac and I don't want to hear anything negative, because I do keep myself in check. But I've never developed that thick a skin. So I just kind of live a life, and I let all the gossip live somewhere else.
--"If you go too far down the rabbit hole of what people think about you, it can change everything about who you are."
--There's no doubt that Taylor's songs ARE about her life . . . and many of them are about past relationships. And in a separate interview, she defended that writing method.

Justin Bieber Barfs Onstage . . . After Drinking Milk?
If your teenage daughter didn't drink her milk today, there may be a reason for that: She may have seen footage of JUSTIN BIEBER vomiting milk . . . onstage . . . during the first show of his new tour in Arizona on Saturday night.
--Justin was performing "Out of Town Girl" when he turned his back to the crowd . . . hunched over . . . and vomited. He immediately left the stage, but later came back out and finished the show.
--When he returned, he pandered for some love. He said, quote, "It's hard for me, because I'm feeling really sick, but I want to say 'thank you' to all my fans for making me feel so comfortable . . .
--"[It's] not really a great feeling when you're throwing up in front of a bunch of people. But you guys don't judge me, do you? You love me just the same? Even though I'm throwing up all over the stage? You love me that much? How much do you love me?
--"I wanted to give you the best show you've ever seen, so do you mind if I finish [it]?"
--Obviously, Justin was ill . . . but there may have been another contributing factor: Milk. He Tweeted, quote, "Great show. Getting better for tomorrow's show!!!! Love you . . . and milk was a bad choice! LOL."
Lindsay Lohan Claims She Was Attacked By a Guy She Brought Back to Her Hotel Room
LINDSAY LOHAN claims she was ATTACKED by a man she brought to her hotel room in New York City on Saturday night. Here's what we know . . .
--Lindsay met a guy named Christian LaBella at the 1 Oak nightclub. They ended up partying in Lindsay's room with some of her friends . . . until Lindsay realized LaBella was recording her.
--She confronted him, and discovered that he had 50 videos and pictures of her, and he was already e-mailing them out to his contacts.
--LaBella reportedly threw Lindsay on the bed, causing scratches on her hands. It's not clear what everyone else in the room was doing, or if they were even still there.
--Lindsay ran out of the room, but returned later. LaBella allegedly CHOKED Lindsay, threw her to the ground and got on top of her.
--This time, a friend was able to pull LaBella off. Then Lindsay YANKED THE FIRE ALARM.
--Police showed up, and LaBella was arrested on two counts each of assault and harassment.
--Now, there's a separate report with slightly different details. In this one, Lindsay grabbed LaBella's camera and ran from the room, and he followed her.
--They struggled in the hallway, where LaBella choked Lindsay . . . then someone pulled the fire alarm, cops came and he was arrested.
--Lindsay's rep issued the following statement . . . quote, "Lindsay was assaulted early this morning in a New York hotel. While she did sustain some injuries, she was not hospitalized.
--"The assailant was arrested and is currently in police custody. Lindsay has spoken with police and is fully cooperating with the investigation."
--Unfortunately for Lindsay, the charges against LaBella were later dropped, and his arrest was voided . . . because there wasn't enough evidence to prove Lindsay's claims.
--So now, all the cops have are harassment reports filed by both of them against each other.
Danny Bonaduce Was Bitten by a Crazed Fan
DANNY BONADUCE was BITTEN ON THE CHEEK by a crazy fan at a meet-and-greet Friday night at a Washington Casino. Danny says the woman told him she loved him on "The Partridge Family", and asked for a kiss.
--But instead, she leaned in and latched onto his face with her teeth. Danny says, quote, "I could feel things popping." Other people nearby helped pull her off.
--Asked what was going through his head during the assault, Danny says, quote, "Bath salts." He was treated with antibiotics . . . and said he WASN'T planning on pressing charges against the woman.
Anne Hathaway Is Married
ANNE HATHAWAY married her boyfriend Adam Shulman in Big Sur, California on Saturday night. Adam is an actor and jewelry designer.
--More than 100 guests attended the ceremony which was reportedly held at a private estate.
--The ceremony took place on a cliff in an open-sided tent next to a barn surrounded by tall pine trees.
--Floral arrangements, reportedly worth over $100,000, were simple and rustic, going along with the wedding's theme: white, pink and rustic.
--Anne and Adam got engaged in November 2011, after dating since 2008.

CHRISTINA AGUILERA has a message for the entertainment industry: She's nobody's skinny white girl anymore. She's a delicious, candy-coated Ecuadorian minx and you need to get used to it.
--During the promotion of her 2002 album "Stripped", she says, quote, "I got tired of being a skinny, white girl. I am Ecuadorian but people felt so safe passing me off as a skinny, blue-eyed white girl."
--Around that time she gained 15 pounds, and everybody FREAKED. She says, quote, "They called this serious emergency meeting about how there was a lot of backlash about my weight.
--"Basically, they told me I would affect a lot of people if I gained weight . . . the production, musical directors."
--She took the bait, and by the time she was touring for her "Back to Basics" album in 2006, she was, quote, "toothpick thin".
