Carson Daly is Engaged

"Voice" host and radio superstar CARSON DALY appears to be engaged to his girlfriend of six years, Siri Pinter.  The two of them were spotted in Los Angeles Saturday, and Siri was wearing what looked like an engagement ring.  (Scroll down here for a picture.)

Carson and Siri already have two kids together . . . a 3-year-old son named Jack and a year-old daughter named Etta Jones.

Halle Berry Gave Birth to a Baby Boy

HALLE BERRY and OLIVIER MARTINEZ are parents.  Halle gave birth to a baby boy Saturday in Los Angeles.  There's no word on the name yet.

This is Halle's second child.  She has a 5-year-old daughter named Nahla with ex-boyfriend GABRIEL AUBRY.

A source says, quote, "Olivier hasn't left Halle's side.  Nahla visited her baby brother earlier today."

"Gravity" Had the Best October Opening of All Time

"Gravity" had a record-breaking weekend at the box office, pulling in $55.6 million in its first three days of release.  That's the best October opening of all time, surpassing "Paranormal Activity 3", which opened to $52.6 million two years ago.

The JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE-BEN AFFLECK movie "Runner Runner" claimed the #3 spot this week with $7.6 million.  Here are this week's Top 5 movies:

1.  (NEW)  "Gravity", $55.6 million.

2.  "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2", $21.5 million.  Up to $60.6 million in its 2nd week.

3.  (NEW)  "Runner Runner", $7.6 million.

4.  "Prisoners", $5.7 million.  Up to $47.9 million in its 3rd week.

5.  "Rush", $4.4 million.  Up to $18.1 million in its 3rd week.

Sandra Bullock Was the Sixth Choice for the Lead in "Gravity"

"Gravity" just set the record for the biggest opening weekend for a movie in the month of October.  But SANDRA BULLOCK is lucky to be celebrating.  Because she wasn't even CLOSE to being the first choice to play the female lead.

We heard last week that ANGELINA JOLIE was originally going to star, back when the movie was announced a few years ago.  But after she bowed out, the producers went through FOUR more actresses before they got to Sandra.

They were, in this order . . . Marion Cotillard, Scarlett Johansson, Blake Lively and Natalie Portman.  So Sandra was actually the SIXTH choice.

Britney Spears Claims She "Always" Sings Live

In a recent radio interview, BRITNEY SPEARS was asked about rumors that she'll lip-sync her way through her upcoming residency in Las Vegas.  She responded by saying that she "ALWAYS" sings live.

She said, quote, "I'm definitely going to be singing live.  I always sing live . . . it doesn't sound so great all the time, but I do my best."  She admitted that it's hard to sing live while she's doing so much dancing and choreography.

Harry Connick Jr. Is Getting His Own Sitcom on Fox

Did HARRY CONNICK JR. get a SITCOM out of his negotiations to be an "American Idol" judge?  Maybe.

Fox has announced that they're developing a new sitcom, which will star Harry as, quote, "a successful entertainer and single dad who takes time off to reconnect with his teenage daughter."  There's no word on a title yet.

It's pretty early in the process, so if this does come together, it wouldn't go into production until after the upcoming season of "Idol".
