The rumors about KRIS and BRUCE JENNER having marital problems were probably true all along . . . because they announced yesterday that they're SEPARATED after 22 years of marriage.
Kris says, quote, "We are living apart. But there is no animosity. We are united and committed to our family."
She added, quote, "We ended a marriage, but that's not the end of our friendship. I will always love him, but we are [no] longer a couple in that way."
They also released a joint statement saying, quote, "We are living separately and we are much happier this way . . . We will always remain best friends and, as always, our family will remain our number one priority."
For whatever reason, they have no plans to divorce. Apparently, they're cool with the way things are. At least for now. They've reportedly been apart since June.
Bruce is 63 . . . Kris is 57. They have two kids together . . . 17-year-old KENDALL and 16-year-old KYLIE.
As for why they split . . . sources say Kris is addicted to celebrity, and Bruce wanted to live a much simpler life. It was HIS idea to move out. She didn't want him to, because it wasn't good for their show.
