Phil Robertson Has Been Suspended from "Duck Dynasty"
A&E has suspended PHIL ROBERTSON from filming "Duck Dynasty", after he gave a very honest interview to "GQ" magazine, where he called gay people sinners . . . and said black people were happier before the civil rights movement.
A&E said, quote, "We're extremely disappointed to have read Phil Robertson's comments, which are based on his own personal beliefs and are not reflected in the series 'Duck Dynasty'.
"The network has placed Phil under hiatus from filming indefinitely." The show's fourth season premieres on January 15th
. . . and he'll probably appear in most of it, since, at this point, most of the season has already been filmed.
In the interview, Phil said his family believes "strongly" that, quote, "if the human race loved each other and they loved God, we would just be better off."
But then he talks in depth about his views of the gay community and this comment is what has got people most worked up: "We just love 'em, give 'em the good news about Jesus, whether they're homosexuals, drunks, terrorists. We let God sort 'em out later."
Elsewhere in the interview, he had this to say about growing up in Louisiana, before the Civil Rights movement:
Quote, "I never, with my eyes, saw the mistreatment of any black person. Not once. Where we lived was all farmers. The blacks worked for the farmers. I hoed cotton with them. I'm with the blacks, because we're white trash . . .
"They're singing and happy. I never heard one black person say, 'I tell you what: These doggone white people' . . . Pre-entitlement, pre-welfare, you say: Were they happy? They were godly. They were happy. No one was singing the blues."

An Ohio Man Died on a Skydiving Trip His Wife Won on "Ellen"
An Ohio man died in a skydiving accident in Australia on Saturday while on a trip his wife won from ELLEN DEGENERES. The skydiving trip was given away on her show last January.
Cherilyn McGraw did a tandem jump, but her husband Brandon, a Marine with skydiving experience, jumped solo.
An employee from the skydiving school said that just before landing, Brandon turned sharply left, then right, then crashed into the ground.
Ellen hasn't released a statement yet but I'm sure she feels terrible.
Did Martha Stewart Just Dis Gwyneth Paltrow?
GWYNETH PALTROW has been trying to rebrand herself as a lifestyle guru these days. But it sounds like the OG of domestic goddesses, MARTHA STEWART, isn't impressed.
The paparazzi asked Martha which of them was the "better lifestyle coach". And she replied, quote, "Oh for Heaven's sake, you have to live to be a coach."
Orlando Bloom Says the Goal of Men Should Be to Make All Mothers Happy
In a recent interview, ORLANDO BLOOM was asked to share something he's learned through his studies of Buddhism.
He said, quote, "The goal of men and the world should be to make all mothers happy. Women, as mothers of the earth, deserve the utmost respect. If the goal is to make all mothers happy, we won't go too far wrong."
Bloom was also asked about breaking his back when he was in drama school. Apparently, there was a chance Orlando would never walk again, and the interviewer asked if he was afraid he'd never have sex again.
Orlando said, quote, "That was the first thing I asked . . . It was this four-day period where it was all a question mark. But I had this really strong belief that that wasn't my life. That wasn't in the cards for me."
There was one thing Orlando did NOT want to talk about. The interviewer asked him if it was "love at first sight" when he first saw his soon-to-be ex-wife MIRANDA KERR.
He said, quote, "It was a lot of things. And actually, I'd rather not talk about it."
Paul Rudd Will Play Ant Man
PAUL RUDD has been chosen to play Marvel's next superhero, Ant Man . . . whose power, obviously, is that he can shrink down to the size of an insect.
The movie is due out in the summer of 2015, and it'll be directed by EDGAR WRIGHT, who did "Shaun of the Dead", "Hot Fuzz", "The World's End" and "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World".
In the comics, Ant Man was a founding member of The Avengers. There's no word if he'll be rolled into any future "Avengers" movies.
