Mark Wahlberg to the Rescue: Marky Mark Says He'd Reunite the Funky Bunch . . . to Help Boston

MARK WAHLBERG may be coming to the aid of Boston . . . his hometown.  He says he would reunite MARKY MARK AND THE FUNKY BUNCH to raise money for the victims of the Boston Marathon Bombing.

Technically, it wasn't Mark's idea.  The paparazzi asked him if he'd do a, quote, "once in a lifetime concert" with the Funky Bunch to help the city, and Mark said, quote, "Absolutely . . . why not?"

Last month, Mark said he MIGHT reunite the Funky Bunch . . . they just had to, quote, "find the right time."  Well, THIS would be the right time.  And just days after Mark's comment, the Funky Bunch said they'd be down. Naturally.

Matthew McConaughey Says Justin Bieber Can Take His Shirt Off If He Wants To

OLIVIA WILDE and HOWIE D of the BACKSTREET BOYS have gone on record saying JUSTIN BIEBER needs to KEEP HIS FRIGGIN SHIRT ON.  But now, someone is coming to Justin's defense.

Not surprisingly, it's MATTHEW MCCONAUGHEY. During an interview with MTV, Matthew was asked what he thought about the flak Justin's been getting for not wearing a shirt.

He said, quote, "He keeps doing it in airports right? . . . I think, he's flying private, he can wear whatever he wants."

Then Matthew was asked if there are BOUNDARIES when it comes to not wearing a shirt. He said, quote, "[It's] appropriate wherever you say it's appropriate.  It's your shirt."

Fox Is Denying a Rumor That "American Idol" Was Planning to Bring J-Lo Back to Replace Mariah Carey Mid-Season

Fox has denied a reportthat "American Idol" wanted to bring JENNIFER LOPEZ back to replace MARIAH CAREY in the middle of this season.

Executive producer Nigel Lythgoe says, quote, "I have not been included in any conversation regarding replacing Mariah with Jen this season."

And a Fox spokesperson says, quote, "This is just another ridiculous "Idol" judge rumor, likely started by talks of Jennifer performing on the finale."

TMZ claims J-Lo IS coming back to perform a new single on "Idol" on May 16th . . . but so-called"sources" tell them that "Idol" DID consider bringing J-Lo back to take over for Mariah for the rest of the season.

Apparently, this was part of a plan to stop the show's ratings slide.

The "Hollywood Reporter" was the first to report on the possible J-Lo-for-Mariah swap.  They say the plan was shut down after Mariah threatened legal action.

Gwyneth Paltrow Has Been Named the Most Beautiful Woman in the World

The "Star" recently named GWYNETHPALTROW the Most Hated Celebrity in Hollywood. Well, "People" magazine obviously has a different take, because they just crowned her the Most Beautiful Woman in the World.

Gwyneth says, quote, "When I first heard that I was gonna be on the cover . . . I honestly thought someone was playing a joke on me.

"And I had to reread the email three times.  I was like, 'This can't be true.  I've developed dyslexia.  I'm not reading right.'"

(Gwyneth is 40 years old.  The issue hits newsstands tomorrow.)
