Justin Bieber is Trying to Keep His Feud With Orlando Bloom Going On Social Media
It's not over between ORLANDO BLOOM and JUSTIN BIEBER. At least, not according to the Biebs.
If you missed it, Orlando took a swing at Justin at a restaurant in Ibiza, Spain. TMZ now has video of the incident. It's not great but you can definitely see that a punch was attempted by Orlando.
Well, Justin couldn't let it go. Yesterday he posted a picture of Orlando WIPING A TEAR FROM HIS EYE. E! Online says the photo was taken last year at the Broadway premiere of "Romeo & Juliet", which Orlando starred in.
Earlier in the day, Justin Tweeted that he was, quote, "Keeping it positive." That didn't last long.
He also posted a picture of Miranda on Instagram, with the only caption being the image of a crown. But he took it down.
So far, we haven't heard that Orlando has made any effort to respond.
Production on "The Big Bang Theory" Has Been Delayed Because the Stars Are Holding Out for "Friends"-Type Deals
Production on the new season of "The Big Bang Theory" was supposed to start yesterday, but it's been delayed because several stars, including Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, Kaley Cuoco, Simon Helberg and Kunal Nayyar, want more money.
Sources say Parsons, Galecki and Cuoco are holding out for, quote, "Friends money". That would be around $1 million an episode, which is what the "Friends" cast eventually got.
They'll probably get it. Nobody really sees this as more than a typical contract negotiation. Season 8 is still set to debut on September 22nd, as planned.
Allison Williams from "Girls" Will Play Peter Pan on NBC
ALLISON WILLIAMS . . . universally recognized as THE HOT ONE on HBO's "Girls" . . . has been cast as PETER PAN in NBC's upcoming live special based on the Broadway musical.
Yes, you heard me right: Marnie from "Girls" is going to play Peter Pan.
It sounds bizarre, but it's actually really common for chicks to play Peter Pan onstage. MARY MARTIN . . . who was LARRY HAGMAN'S mother . . . famously did it in the 1950s.
SANDY DUNCAN owned the role in the '70s and '80s. And Olympic gymnast CATHY RIGBY did it on-and-off from 1990 up until 2013.
And for this NBC special, they were actually considering KRISTEN BELL, but she had a scheduling conflict.
"Peter Pan Live!" is being made by the same people who did last year's "Sound of Music Live!".
Oh, and did I mention that CHRISTOPHER WALKEN is playing Captain Hook?
Did Orlando Bloom Take a Swing at Justin Bieber in Spain Last Night?
ORLANDO BLOOM and JUSTIN BIEBER almost mixed it up at a restaurant in Ibiza, Spain yesterday.
Witnesses say it started when Justin PURPOSELY bumped into Orlando. Orlando then went after him and even THREW A PUNCH, which missed . . . after which Justin yelled, quote, "What's up, [B-word]?"
There was a brief confrontation, then Justin left . . . and the crowd applauded. There's video, but it catches the action AFTER the punch was supposedly thrown.
"Bachelorette" Andi Dorfman's New Fiance Josh "Could Care Less" About Nick
"Bachelorette" ANDI DORFMAN and the winner of her love, JOSH MURRAY, haven't split up yet . . . even though the runner-up, NICK VIALL, announced to the world that he'd "made love" with Andi on Monday's live "After the Final Rose" special.
When asked about it yesterday, Josh said that he, quote, "could care less" about that . . . adding that Nick revealing that on TV was, quote, "classless." He also said that Andi has been "honest with him about everything."
Yes, he said he "COULD care less" . . . as opposed to "COULDN'T care less". It's a common grammatical mistake . . . but in this case, maybe it was a Freudian slip.
Andi added, quote, "Everyone may be talking about it . . . but it's been over and done for two months. That's the thing people don't realize, this happened months ago, so we've already put all of that behind us."
Andi also revealed her engagement ring, and said that while they don't have a wedding date yet, they're thinking of tying the knot next spring.
Kiefer Sutherland vs. Freddie Prinze Jr.: Some of Kiefer's Co-Stars Weigh In
We've heard FREDDIE PRINZE JR.'s negative review of working with KIEFER SUTHERLAND on "24". But what do some of Kiefer's OTHER co-stars have to say?
LOUIS LOMBARDI, who played Edgar Stiles in 2005 and 2006, says, quote, "My experience with Kiefer was absolutely the opposite. He was one of the most professional actors I've ever worked with.
"Maybe [Freddie] was jealous, maybe Kiefer did something to him, who knows? [But] I think he's a great dude and I have nothing but love for him. Everyone loves him, all the actors around him, the crew. Everyone!"
And GILES MATTHEY . . . who played Jordan Reed on the season of "24" that just aired, said he enjoyed DRINKING with Kiefer. He said Kiefer's a great guy who always buys drinks for the whole bar.
He added that he's never seen Kiefer drink a beer . . . he's a WHISKEY man.
Toby Keith Calls Taylor Swift the Best Female Songwriter in the Past 20 Years
TOBY KEITH was asked in an interview if he thinks TAYLOR SWIFT is "ordinary or legendary." He believes she's too new to the game for legend status . . . but he did give her serious props.
He said, quote, "Taylor Swift's probably the best female songwriter that's come along in the past 20 years. She's great, but she can't be legendary because she hasn't been around that long."
As far as what we can expect from Toby. He'll be releasing a new single in late summer or early fall. It'll be the first single from a new album, but he didn't say exactly when that'll be out.
Did Nicholas Hoult Break Up With Jennifer Lawrence Because of Her "Exploded Ego"?
Most of what we hear about JENNIFER LAWRENCE is that she's super sweet, real and down-to-Earth. But what if it's all just an act?
An Australian gossip site says Jennifer's boyfriend NICHOLAS HOULT has broken up with her because of her, quote, "EXPLODED EGO." You know him as the guy who plays Beast in the "X-Men" movies.
A source says, quote, "Nicholas is moving on. He hates how in love with fame Jen is, and he told her he hates dating an A-list actress . . . Nic wants a more low-key girlfriend."
Who could that low-key girlfriend be? Sources say he's already cozying up to ELVIS' granddaughter RILEY KEOUGH . . . because, quote, "Riley is into acting in indies and not playing the fame game."
"Fifty Shades of Grey" is the Most-Watched Trailer of the Year So Far
I didn't realize we kept track of best trailers of the year but apparently we do and "Fifty Shades of Grey" had the best opening week of any trailer so far this year . . . and its first week isn't even over yet.
According to a tracking firm called Zefr, it's racked up 36.4 million YouTube views since it was released last Thursday. (Including about 12.5 million views on the official site alone.)
The previous high for the year was"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" with 31 million views. "Godzilla" and "Transformers: Age of Extinction" each had 26.3 million, and "Dumb & Dumber Too" had 23.5 million views.
Freddie Prinze Jr. Says Kiefer Sutherland Was Such a Jerk on "24" That He Wanted to Quit Acting
FREDDIE PRINZE JR. hasn't done much acting recently, and apparently that's KIEFER SUTHERLAND'S fault.
Freddie had a major supporting role on "24" back in 2010 . . . and in a new interview, he says Kiefer was such a jerk that he didn't want to act anymore. He says, quote, "It was terrible. I hated every moment of it.
"Kiefer was the most unprofessional dude in the world. That's not me talking trash. I'd say it to his face. Everybody that's worked with him has said that. I just wanted to quit the business after that. So, I sort of just stopped."
He doesn't elaborate on what Kiefer did, but he did say he was forced to take his shoes off to do scenes with Kiefer . . . because he was so much taller than him. He adds, quote, "Just put the guy on [a box] or don't hire me next time.
"You know I'm 6 feet and he's 5'4." For what it's worth, the Internet says Kiefer is five-foot-nine, and Freddie is 6'1.
So-called "sources connected to Freddie" claim Kiefer's drinking problem contributed to him pulling a total Lindsay Lohan on the set . . . you know, being a diva, making people wait for him, stirring up drama, and so on.
Kiefer hasn't responded . . . but his rep says, quote, "This is the first [Kiefer] has heard of Freddie's grievances. Kiefer enjoyed working with Freddie and wishes him the best."
Interestingly enough, that feeling WAS MUTUAL, at the time. In an old interview from 2010, Freddie said Kiefer helped him out a lot . . . and that he, quote, "really enjoyed working with him," and that it was "really rewarding."
"Bachelorette" Andi Dorfman Was Confronted by the Guy She Didn't Pick . . . For Having Sex With Him
The "Bachelorette" finale went down last night, with ANDI DORFMAN accepting a "proposal" from former baseball player JOSH MURRAY. If they're anything like most of the couples from this show, they'll pretend to like each other for at least a few more weeks, before breaking up for good.
But that's by far not the most interesting thing that happened. The big news comes from the live "After the Final Rose" special, in which the guy Andi DIDN'T pick, NICK VIALL, confronted her for SLEEPING WITH HIM during the show.
Viall was obviously still feeling the BITTER STING OF REJECTION.
But Andi told him he would find love again, and that he deserved someone who would reciprocate his feelings 100%. She also told him that she was never in love with him.
That's when he lowered the boom. He said, quote, "If you weren't in love with me, I'm just not sure why, like, why you made love with me."
It was a totally uncomfortable moment, and Andi was NOT happy that he brought it up. She called it, quote, "kinda below the belt," adding that was something that should have remained PRIVATE.
She added that everything that went on between them was real for her, but his take on the events might have been different.
"Game of Thrones" Author George R.R. Martin Is Obsessed with Boobs, Not Wieners
When "South Park" took on "Game of Thrones" and its author GEORGE R.R. MARTIN last year, they joked that George was rather obsessed with the MALE GENITALIA.
Well, the issue came up at Comic-Con, and George made it pretty clear how he feels. He said, quote, "I've been told that my character on 'South Park' is obsessed about weenies.
"I have to deny this as a scurrilous rumor. I have nothing against weenies. Weenies are fine, but I am not obsessed with weenies. I am definitely on the boobies side of the equation . . . boobies, not weenies."
George added that he hasn't actually SEEN the episodes. He said he has them recorded, and he does love "South Park", but he's worried that watching them rip into him might be too much for his, quote, "sensitive soul."
Kendall Jenner Thinks It Was Harder to Become a Model Because of Her Name
Whenever someone uses their name to get ahead, the first thing they do is pretend their name actually made it HARDER for them to get ahead. Not surprisingly, KENDALL JENNER would like you to think her family connections were a DISADVANTAGE to her becoming a model.
She tells "Love" magazine, quote, "People think that this [success] just came to me. But it didn't.
"What I have has almost worked against me. I had to work even harder to get where I wanted because people didn't take me seriously as a model. Because of the TV show. I went on castings and some people weren't feeling me because of my name."
Scarlett Johansson Beat The Rock at the Box Office
SCARLETT JOHANSSON beat THE ROCK at the box office this weekend, by a pretty wide margin. "Lucy" brought in a better-than-expected $44 million, compared to just $29 million for "Hercules".
It's even more impressive when you consider the budget for the two movies: "Lucy" cost an estimated $40 million to make, which means it's already made back its entire budget . . . while "Hercules" cost $100 million, so it hasn't even made a third of that yet.
As for the other movies opening this weekend, the MICHAEL DOUGLAS movie "And So It Goes" made just over $4.5 million in 8th place . . . and PHILIP SEYMOUR HOFFMAN'S "A Most Wanted Man" made $2.7 million at #10.
Here are this week's Top 5 movies:
1. NEW: "Lucy", $44 million.
2. NEW: "Hercules", $29 million.
3. "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes", $16.4 million. $172 million in its 3rd week.
4. "The Purge: Anarchy", $9.9 million. Up to $51.3 million in its 2nd week.
5. "Planes: Fire & Rescue", $9.3 million. Up to $35.1 million in its 2nd week.
Aretha Franklin Was Scolded for Sitting Down to Eat at a Johnny Rockets, Because She'd Ordered Her Food as "Takeout"?
Last week, ARETHA FRANKLIN hit up a Johnny Rockets in the Niagara Falls area after a gig. And she almost engaged in FISTICUFFS with one of the employees. Here's what happened:
Aretha ordered a meal TO GO . . . but apparently, she was too hungry to wait, and once she got her food, she sat down at one of the tables inside to eat it.
A server SCOLDED Aretha for doing that, telling her she wasn't allowed to eat takeout inside. Aretha says the worker was, quote, "very rude, unprofessional and nasty." She stormed out without finishing her meal.
The owner of that Johnny Rockets says he's sorry, and called the worker a, quote, "new and very young employee." Apparently, the employee won't be fired, but was REMINDED about the "takeout policies."
Aretha is moving on. She says, quote, "Over the years I have always enjoyed a burger and cherry Coke. This experience will not stop my enjoyment of burgers and cherry Cokes, and talking to the classy and friendly people at Johnny Rockets."
Kate Upton Has Been Begging for Her "Curvy" Body All Her Life
Apparently, some people have called KATE UPTON "healthy-looking," in a way that's Kate thinking it's not really a compliment. But for the record, she LOVES her curves.
In an interview with "Elle UK", Kate says, quote, "When I first started modeling, I was a normal catalog model . . . then, I became a woman, and I was really excited about becoming a woman.
"I'm from Florida, it's all about being in bathing suits. It's a different view of beauty there. You're ugly if you don't have a curvy body. And I didn't have one, and then I got one, and thought, 'Yessss!'
"Then people say: 'Oh, wow, you're 'healthy'. And [I'm] like, 'Wait . . . what? I've been begging for this body my whole life!'"
Sarah Palin Has Her Own Internet Channel
SARAH PALIN has decided you don't get to see enough of her so she's launched her own Internet TV channel.
“Tired of media filters? Well, so am I,” the former Alaska governor posted Sunday on her Facebook page. “So let’s go rogue and launch our own member-supported channel. “
In a video on sarahpalinchannel.com, Palin calls the new subscription-based network a “community” where she and viewers can share ideas. “I want to talk to directly to you on our channel on my terms and no need to please the powers that be,” she says, promising to go beyond soundbites and to “cut through the media’s politically correct filter.”
The new channel includes videos of Palin criticizing President Obama and his addiction to “OPM,” or other people’s money, and her explanation of why she believes he should be impeached. There’s also a blog by her daughter, Bristol, and running tallies of the national debt and how many days, hours, minutes and seconds are left in the Obama administration.
Palin, the 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee, will serve as the channel’s executive editor and will oversee all posted content.
Variety reports the Sarah Palin channel will cost $9.95 a month or $99.95 for a one-year subscription.
'The Bachelorette' Finale: Josh or Nick?
Tonight, The Bachelorette, Andi Dorfman, will or will not propose marriage to someone who is or is not the love of her life — and who, should he say yes, will or will not actually marry her. Will she choose to give her final rose to Nick Viall or Josh Murray?
Robin Thicke Is Finally Admitting His Marriage is Over
Earlier this week we heard that ROBIN THICKE and PAULA PATTON'S house was on the market. That was a pretty strong hint that things weren't going to work out.
And now the word is that Robin has indeed admitted that the entire freakin' album he dedicated to Paula isn't going to get her back . . . even though it had a song on it CALLED "Get Her Back". (???)
A source says Robin is done begging and has decided to move on, and an attorney is already working on a financial settlement. One thing Robin is firm on, though, is that he won't be the one to file for divorce.
Celebrity Baby News: Kelsey Grammer Has a New Son, and Zoe Saldana Might Be Having Twins
KELSEY GRAMMER'S wife Kayte gave birth to a baby boy on Tuesday. They named him Kelsey Gabriel Elias Grammer. He's their second child.
They also have a 2-year-old daughter named Faith, and Kelsey has four other kids from previous relationships, ranging in age from 9 to 30.
Meanwhile, E! Online says ZOE SALDANA is expecting TWINS, and she's thrilled. For the record, she has yet to confirm she's even pregnant.
Tara Reid Says She Believes a Real Life Sharknado Is Possible . . . Even Though It Would Be "Rare"
The appeal of "Sharknado" . . . at least before the whole thing became WAY overhyped . . . was that it wasn't only IMPOSSIBLE, it was also so categorically absurd that it was amusing to consider.
But TARA REID who stars in these ridiculous movies believes it's possible.
In an interview with "GQ", Tara said she believes it's possible to have a real life sharknado . . . that is, a waterspout that lifts man-eating sharks OUT of the ocean, and takes them into a major city, where they fly around terrorizing everyone.
She says, quote, "You know, it actually can happen. I mean, the chances of it happening are very rare, but it can happen actually. Which is crazy. Not that it . . . the chances of it are, like, you know, it's like probably 'pigs could fly.'
"Like, I don't think pigs could fly, but actually sharks could be stuck in tornados. There could be a sharknado." Of course, there's the possibility she was being a little playful and isn't spending her nights losing sleep over a REAL Sharknado.
"Sharknado 2: The Second One" premieres next Wednesday on SyFy.
Megan Fox Says She's an Outcast
At Comic-Con, USA Today asked Megan Fox if she’s always been a “nerd.” You know, because Comic-Con is where nerds are celebrated.
The actress, who’s promoting her upcoming movie Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, said she’s not a nerd, exactly, but has always been an “outcast” or “loner” without many friends. Watch:
Megan also revealed that April, her character in TMNT, is “closely tied in a familial way” with the turtles in the live-action movie, and has a “special relationship” with turtle Michelangelo. (“Mikey” was always her favorite, she says.)
Charlize Theron is Wearing a Ring on Her Engagement Finger . . . Did Sean Penn Propose?
CHARLIZE THERON was spotted wearing a ring on her engagement finger . . . which would suggest that SEAN PENN proposed, and she said yes. But that might not be the case.
E! Online says Charlize's new piece of jewelry is an 18-karat yellow gold Anita Ko Leaf Ring . . . which sells for $4,900. And that would be on the CHEAP side as celebrity engagement rings go.
New Movies In Theaters This Weekend
1. "Hercules" (PG-13)
The Rock stars as Hercules. The Kellan Lutz movie from earlier this year was more of an origin story, but the Rock's movie takes place later in Hercules' life. It covers his legendary 12 Labors, and has him fighting in a war to return John Hurt to his throne.
It's directed by Brett Ratner, whose other credits include "X-Men: The Last Stand" and the "Rush Hour" trilogy.
2. "Lucy" (R)
Scarlett Johansson is kidnapped and forced to act as a drug mule, carrying a powerful synthetic drug inside her body. But when some of the chemicals leak into her system, they unlock her brain's capacity to operate on a higher level than any other human.
As she develops increased intelligence, and powers like telepathy and telekinesis, she turns to Morgan Freeman to help her figure out where her abilities might lead . . . all while being chased by killers who want to extract their drugs from her body.
3. "And So It Goes" (PG-13)
Michael Douglas plays a cranky old man who's stuck taking care of his granddaughter for his son. And Diane Keaton is a neighbor who takes an interest in him, despite the fact that no one else can stand to be around him.
