Lindsay Lohan Wants to Move to London . . . Because They're Not Obsessed with Celebrities There?
LINDSAY LOHAN is in London, gearing up to make her stage debut in David Mamet's "Speed-the-Plow" this October. It's her latest attempt to re-establish herself as an ACTRESS.
And she says she loves it in London so much, she's thinking of MOVING there . . . partly to avoid the paparazzi.
In a new interview with the BBC, she says that British people have, quote, "such a different outlook [about celebrities] . . . It's more news and politics and music. It feels good to turn on the TV and not have everything be all about gossip."
And because of that, she also thinks she has a better chance of being seen as a legitimate actress there than she does in the U.S.
She says that while she's on stage, people can quote, "focus on the fact that I'm [an] actress and an artist, and not just someone you take photos of."
Kate Middleton's "Friend" Told the Tabloids That She's Pregnant Again
KATE MIDDLETON'S "longtime friend," Jessica Hay, told the tabloids that Kate's pregnant again. She says, quote, "I've heard it from several different friends of theirs now and they're saying that they think there's going to be an official announcement in weeks."
Ordinarily, this would probably mean nothing, but this Jessica chick did have the scoop on Kate's first pregnancy, several weeks before the official announcement. If she IS a friend, it's unclear why she keeps blabbing to the tabloids.
Royal Baby #1, Prince George, turns one year old next Tuesday.
Is Ann Curry Joining "The View"?
According to the "New York Post", ANN CURRY is in talks to join "The View" next season. Ann is still under contract with NBC though. So ABC would have to work all that out first.
Barbara Walters left the show last month. Then Sherri Shepherd and Jenny McCarthy followed when they reportedly got FIRED. That only left Whoopi Goldberg, until ABC recently announced that Rosie O'Donnell is coming back.
If Ann DOES come on board, there would still be at least one open slot. Word is Bernadette Peters, Leah Remini, Meghan McCain and CNN's S.E. Cupp are possibilities.
And so is a potential MALE co-host, comedian Mario Cantone. He's been a regular guest on the "The View" for the past decade and you might also remember him as Charlotte's gay friend Anthony on "Sex and the City".
The Octomom Got Two Years Probation for Welfare Fraud
NADYA SULEMAN . . . you know, "The Octomom" . . . was back in court yesterday for her welfare fraud case in Los Angeles.
She was accused of accepting more than $26,000 in welfare payments to support her 14 kids . . . without disclosing the fact that she was making money from personal appearances and an adult relations movie she did back in 2012.
Anyway, the case WON'T be going to trial, because she pleaded no contest yesterday to one count of misdemeanor welfare fraud.
According to her lawyer, she borrowed money from friends to pay back what she owed. About $10,000 went to the state, and $16,000 went to Los Angeles County.
He also said they could have fought it if they wanted to, but Nadya hated the thought of going through a public trial.
So instead, the judge gave her 200 hours of community service, two years probation, and a small fine. Which isn't bad considering the fact that she was originally facing four FELONY counts, and could have gotten more than SIX YEARS in jail.
No one wanted that to happen though, including the prosecutor . . . because she has 14 KIDS to look after. The octuplets are five-years-old now, by the way.
