Kelly Clarkson Is Scrapping Her Big Wedding and Eloping Instead
KELLY CLARKSON and Brandon Blackstock have decided to elope instead of going through the nightmare of planning a big wedding.
She said, quote, "We are so busy that we finally just came to terms the other night and were like, 'So, we change our minds and we want to elope.' We just got so overwhelmed by it . . . all the decisions."
They'd already sent out invitations for an October 20th wedding . . . so she had to update all the guests first, before telling the rest of the world about the change.
She said, "I sent out an engagement photo to everyone and said, 'Thank you so much for understanding, but it's just going to be me and Brandon and his two kids and the minister." (Brandon's two children are from a previous marriage.)
At least there's still going to be a blowout. She says, quote, "Our friend is throwing us a huge 'stock the bar party,' so all of the people who were going to be at our wedding will be there."
Is Robert Pattinson Dissing "Twilight" Fans?
Now that the "Twilight" movies are over, ROBERT PATTINSON is free to speak his mind about the fan base. And it sounds like that's exactly what he's doing.
In an interview with a German magazine, he said, quote, "The real odd thing about this 'Twilight' target group is that they aren't really teenagers. Most of them are older.
"'Twilight' has its own parallel world, its own fan culture that has been forming on the net since day one. And in an intense way that has never existed before.
"Sometimes I ask myself what these masses of people do the whole day. They sit in front of their computers and comment on anything having even remotely to do with 'Twilight'."
(Keep in mind that this was supposedly taken from a German magazine . . . which means the translation could be bad . . . or the quotes could be TOTALLY FABRICATED.)
John Mayer May Propose to Katy Perry Soon
KATY PERRY may turn out to be the girl JOHN MAYER settles down with.
A source tells "Life & Style" magazine, “John has been asking Katy’s friends tons of questions, like what kind of engagement ring she would want and what the best way to propose would be.
The source adds, "They’ve been so serious about each other ever since they got back together [in June]. John wants to do something special."
Did Brandy Walk Out After Trying to Perform in Front of a Nearly-Empty Stadium?
BRANDY may be at the point in her career where she can't fill stadiums . . . with any more than 100 people. Because supposedly, that's exactly what she did this past weekend.
Brandy was in South Africa on Saturday to perform at an event in Johannesburg called the Mandela Sports and Culture Day. It included a soccer game and several performers.
But by the time Brandy took the stage, the stadium, which had been packed with 90,000 people earlier in the day, was almost completely vacant.
A South African musician named KABOMO Tweeted, quote, "I have no words for what I just witnessed. Brandy performed to an EMPTY stadium. With the stadium lights on. She sulked after two songs and walked off."
But he added, quote, "It was late . . . [and] people didn't know there was a concert after the games. No one knew Brandy was around. Maybe a 40 people audience. There are more people there on a random Tuesday."
Brandy hasn't commented.
"Prison Break" Star Wentworth Miller Has Come Out
Former "Prison Break" star WENTWORTH MILLER has come out of the closet. He's 41 years old.
He did it while DECLINING an invite to the St. Petersburg International Film Festival in Russia. As you probably know, Russia is a very GAY-UNFRIENDLY country.
In a letter to the Festival, Miller said, quote, "As someone who has enjoyed visiting Russia in the past and can also claim a degree of Russian ancestry, it would make me happy to say yes. However, as a gay man, I must decline."
He also said he's, quote, "deeply troubled by the current attitude toward and treatment of gay men and women by the Russian government."
A "Rambo" TV Show Is in the Works . . . and Sylvester Stallone May Be Involved
Word has it that there's a "Rambo" TV series in the works . . . and SYLVESTER STALLONE is "in talks" to be involved.
Supposedly, he'd at least be a part of the show on a, quote, "creative level" . . . although, he COULD possibly star. Stallone hasn't commented.
The "Rambo" movie franchise consists of four movies . . . the three original ones from the '80s, and that fourth one that they did in 2008.
There's been on-and-off talk of a possible FIFTH movie . . . but it's been on hold ever since Stallone got preoccupied with the "Expendables" movies.
About a year ago, Stallone said, quote, "I'm dying to do another Rambo. He's in Arizona on the border. It'll involve him going into Mexico. I don't think Rambo likes Mexicans."
