KJ's Hollywood Dirt for 8/4/2014

Is Jennifer Lawrence's Ex Rebounding with Kristen Stewart?

We still don't have it officially, but multiple sources are reporting that JENNIFER LAWRENCE and NICHOLAS HOULT have broken up.

The two met on the set of 2011's "X-Men:  First Class" and have been together ever since, not counting a brief breakup last year.

Hoult is about to start filming a sci-fi flick with KRISTEN STEWART called "Equals", and the two of them were spotted in Tokyo the other day getting sushi . . . so obviously the rumors are starting to bubble up.

They also gave a press conference, at which Nicholas said this about playing Kristen's love interest . . . quote, "Kristen is a great actress and that just makes it very relaxed and my job very easy."

Michael Strahan Went Into the Football Hall of Fame a Single Man

When New York Giants legend MICHAEL STRAHAN entered the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday, he did it as a SINGLE MAN.

Strahan's rep confirmed that Michael and his girlfriend NICOLE MURPHY had ended their five-year engagement because of, quote, "distance and work schedule" issues.

Sources say Michael was BLINDSIDED by the announcement.  Obviously, he knew he and Nicole were through, but the TIMING was suspect.  He reportedly feels like either Nicole or someone close to her was trying to ruin his Hall of Fame weekend.

John Stamos Has Such Skinny Legs That He Once Wore Shorts Under His Jeans to Hide Them

In a feature for "Us" magazine, JOHN STAMOS revealed 25 interesting facts that we may not know about him . . . and there were a few good ones.

For example, John says he's always had SKINNY LEGS . . . and when he was in high school, he used to disguise that by wearing shorts UNDER his jeans.

He also reveals:  That he was a "complete band geek" in high school . . . that HENRY WINKLER was the first celebrity he'd ever met . . . that he has 27 pairs of reading glasses . . . that he loves to garden . . . that he cuts his own hair . . .

And this one will be important for all the ladies out there:  He's someone who EATS CRACKERS IN BED.  That's not exactly a "plus."

"Guardians of the Galaxy" Set an August Record

"Guardians of the Galaxy" made a huge $94 million this weekend, setting a record for an August debut.  The previous record holder was "The Bourne Ultimatum", which made $69.3 million in 2007.

It's also the third biggest opening of 2014, behind "Transformers: Age of Extinction" and "Captain America: The Winter Soldier".  The weekend's other new wide release, the JAMES BROWN movie "Get On Up", earned $14 million in third place.

Here are this week's Top 10 movies:

1.  NEW:  "Guardians of the Galaxy", $94 million.

2.  "Lucy", $18.3 million.  Up to $79.6 million in its 2nd week.

3.  NEW:  "Get On Up", $14 million.

4.  "Hercules", $10.7 million.  Up to $52.3 million in its 2nd week.

5.  "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes", $8.7 million.  $189 million in its 4th week.

An All-Female "Ghostbusters" Reboot Might Happen

After years of back-and-forth as to whether we'll get "Ghostbusters 3", there's now ANOTHER "Ghostbusters" movie in development.  This one is a reboot with FEMALE Ghostbusters.

Paul Feig is in talks to direct it, which means MELISSA MCCARTHY'S name will more than likely come up.  He's already directed her in "Bridesmaids" and "The Heat".

There's a competing rumor that Feig is actually in talks to direct "Ghostbusters 3" . . . so take all of this with a grain of salt.
