The Backstreet Boys Apologize to Chicago Fans After Their Show Was Cut Off
The Backstreet Boys were back but not for as long as their fans in Chicago had hoped.
According to the Chicago Tribune, the group was apparently cut off Friday night leaving thousands of fans without an encore or even the end to the song they were performing.
Because the venue has a strict 11 p.m. curfew, Live Nation said it worked with the performers to try and get the full show in before the curfew hit. When that became impossible, "the artist was asked to conclude the show."
Kevin Richardson offered an apology on the group's Facebook page.
"We got shut down five minutes shy of the finish line, so we're so frustrated, and we're going to figure out how to make this right," Richardson said, in a video posted hours after the show ended.
In the statement Live Nation said that "at this time, there is not word of a return date for Chicago."
In a video posted on YouTube by a concert attendee, the Backstreet Boys are shown leading the audience in chants of, "One more song!" and asking someone off-stage whether they could perform "just one more, please."

Kid Rock Threatened Some Guy on Crutches Who Tried to Break Into His House . . . and Offered a Reward for His Arrest
Over the weekend, KID ROCK announced that someone tried to break into his house in the Detroit area last week . . . and the circumstances were a little bizarre.
Security footage showed a man in a big, white van RAM into the front gate, in broad daylight. He then got out of the van, and attempted to break into the home . . . while WALKING ON CRUTCHES . . . but he was unsuccessful.
The man was able to get away, initially. So, Kid went to his website to offer a reward for information leading to his arrest . . . and to try to scare him, or anyone else, from trying it again.
He said, quote, "Thank God I was not on the property at the time of this attempted break-in. I'm an avid hunter and marksman, and I will not hesitate to shoot anyone who has [me] or family in fear for our lives.
"I take the invasion of my personal space very seriously regardless of who you are and YES, I do profile people. I'm currently profiling any balding white male on crutches driving a white creeper van.
"Please contact the [police] with any information on this jackass. I'm offering a $5,000 reward for any information leading to his arrest." Kid's post included a few photos of the man from his security cameras.
Well, a 43-year-old man has since been arrested . . . and the cops say two tips led to the man's arrest. Kid mentioned the arrest on his site . . . but didn't say whether or not the tips qualified for his reward.
