The VMAs: What You Need To Know
During his performance last night at the VMAs , JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE did indeed get back together with 'N SYNC briefly for a little "Girlfriend/Bye Bye Bye" mash up. It was cool but not nearly long enough. Then, while accepting his Video Vanguard Award, he thanked them, saying that half the Moonmen he's won were with the group.
For some reason, the VMA producers decided to cut to TAYLOR SWIFT about once every 60 seconds or so throughout the night. There was only one time when it was actually worth it.
ONE DIRECTION . . . which includes Taylor's ex-boyfriend HARRY STYLES . . . was onstage talking about how awesome their fans are.
The camera cut to Taylor, who was sitting next to SELENA GOMEZ . . . and she APPEARED to be saying, "Shut the [EFF] up."
MILEY CYRUS made the biggest impression at last night's "MTV Video Music Awards", but for all the wrong reasons. Her performance included twerking, crotch-gesturing and a lot of bad singing. When she wasn't sticking her tongue out, that is.
LADY GAGA opened the show with "Applause" . . . and by the end of it, she was in a seashell bra and thong. Based on her amazing performance, she's recovered well from her hip injury.
ED SHEERAN and ELLIE GOULDING looked kind of like a couple.
Oh, and some people won some awards.

Lamar Odom is Missing???
TMZ is reporting that LAMAR ODOM has been missing for three days.
According to the site, KHLOE KARDASHIAN's husband vanished suddenly and his family believes he may be on a drug binge. Allegedly, no one has been able to contact him for nearly 72 hours.
TMZ first reported that multiple sources familiar with the situation said Odom, 33, has been facing a drug problem for two years. Reportedly, he went to a rehab facility in San Diego last August, but left after three weeks. The site also reports that Odom stayed clean once he left treatment and was able to play well for the Los Angeles Clippers this past season. But once the season was over, insiders say he slipped back into using "hardcore recreational drugs."
Sources tell TMZ that within the last few days Odom's family tried to stage an intervention, but he wouldn't have it. On Wednesday, Kardashian, 29, allegedly kicked him out of the house and he hasn't been seen since.
Khloe denied the allegations on Twitter saying, "Really hard to sit here and listen to people talk sh*t about my family! F*#k you and shame on you! I'm too protective for this sh*t!"
This is not the first time Odom has faced drug accusations. He was suspended in 2001 when he violated NBA drug policy twice in eight months, admitting to smoking marijuana.
Alec Baldwin Has Another Daughter
ALEC BALDWIN'S wife HILARIA gave birth to a baby girl on Friday.
As for the name, Hilaria Tweeted, quote, "We are overjoyed to announce the birth of our daughter Carmen Gabriela. She is absolutely perfect."
Alec's 17-year-old Ireland Baldwin, posted a welcome note to Carmen on her Tumblr page, that includes several tips for her as she grows up.
There's even a section on "Alcohol, Weed and Parties". She tells Carmen that SHE wants to be the one to give her her first drink. But she says, quote, "Don't be that girl that gets wasted at parties and crawls on bathroom floors. It ain't cute."
Here's a more practical bit of advice Ireland gave Carmen . . . quote, "Grown ups yell. I don't know why, but they do. No matter what your mom or Dad says or does, simply remember that they love the [crap] out of you. NEVER forget it."
Ben Affleck is Signed Up for Multiple Appearances as Batman
If you're still FREAKING out about BEN AFFLECK playing Batman . . . then your life is about to get worse . . .
Because the "Hollywood Reporter" says Ben is signed up to play Batman in MULTIPLE movies. We don't know WHAT those movies will be, other than the "Man of Steel" sequel.
Meanwhile, someone actually started a petition on Change.org, asking Warner Brothers to recast the role. As of last night it had over 65,000 signatures.
Robin Thicke Tried to Buy Out Marvin Gaye's Family, Before Suing Them
When ROBIN THICKE sued MARVIN GAYE'S family . . . as a preemptive strike to a possible copyright infringement showdown . . . he seemed sure "Blurred Lines" was NOT a rip-off of Marvin's "Got to Give It Up".
But maybe Robin DID recognize that he could be in trouble . . . because he supposedly offered the family a "six-figure settlement" BEFORE he sued them. They turned him down, and that's when he went ahead with his lawsuit.
No one has commented on this report . . . but Marvin's son has told TMZ, quote, "We're not happy with the way that he went about doing business, let alone suing us for something where he clearly got his inspiration from at the least."
Earlier this year, Robin had this to say about "Blurred Lines" in an interview with "GQ" magazine: Quote, "PHARRELL and I were in the studio and I told him that one of my favorite songs of all time was Marvin Gaye's 'Got to Give It Up'.
"I was like, 'Damn, we should make something like that, something with that groove.' Then he started playing a little something and we literally wrote the song in about a half hour and recorded it. The whole thing was done in a couple hours."
