Adele Flashed Her Middle Finger at the BRIT Awards Last Night . . . After the Host Cut Off Her Acceptance Speech

ADELE won Best Album at the U.K.'s BRIT Awards last night . . . then FLIPPED THE BIRD during her acceptance speech.

--She was angry because the host cut her off. Apparently, her speech was running long . . . and he had to introduce the band BLUR, who was performing to close out the show.

--Afterwards, Adele apologized, and said the middle finger was for the show's producers. She said, quote, "I was cut off during my speech but I wanted to thank the British public for all their support.

--"I was held up with my voice and troubles but the album kept walking without me. I flipped the bird for the suits at the BRITS who cut me off. Sorry if I offended anyone but it was for them, not for the fans."

--The host was also sorry it went down like that. He said, quote, "I don't understand quite why I was made to [cut her short] . . . she's the biggest star in the world. I don't understand what happened but I'm upset about it.

--"Blur played for 11 minutes, and she didn't get [the] chance to say thank you once." (--Technically, she said "Thank You" four times, but they were just general "Thank Yous" to the crowd . . . not to anyone in particular.)

Is Drew Barrymore Pregnant?

DREW BARRYMORE was spotted leaving a doctor's office in Beverly Hills with her fiancé the other day. And she was holding what appeared to be a set of SONOGRAM PHOTOS in her hand.

--And so, of course, the pregnancy rumors have begun.

--So far, Drew has made no comment.

Justin Bieber is Publishing Another Book

JUSTIN BIEBER is making sure young girls across America keep reading. He just signed his second book deal.

--The new book will be called "Justin Bieber: Justin Getting Started", and it will take fans behind-the-scenes on his tour and the recording of an album.

--Justin says, quote, "I'm so excited to be working on another book with HarperCollins. Being able to share my story with my fans through these books is an absolute privilege.

--"I can't wait to show them more about my life on tour and in the studio in this next book." (--Justin's first book, "First Step 2 Forever: My Story", came out in 2010 and has sold more than a million copies.)

Adam Levine Is "Not Really Interested" in Simon Cowell's "Super Final" Challenge

SIMON COWELL recently proposed a "super final," where the winners of "American Idol", "The Voice" and "X Factor" would face-off to determine the best singer.

--"Voice" winner JAVIER COLON has said he's down, but "Voice" coach ADAM LEVINE doesn't think they'll take part . . . even though he admits it's, quote, "kind of a cool idea."

--He tells "Access Hollywood", quote, "[Simon is] so hell bent on competing with other shows. We're not really interested in a way.

--"We're just kind of worrying about what we do 'cause we all know the more we worry about everybody else, the more the quality of what you’re doing tends to suffer. So, we want to just do what we do."

Chris Brown and Rihanna Are Back Together On Two Different Tracks

The rumors were true: CHRIS BROWN did record some new vocals for the remix of RIHANNA'S "Birthday Cake". And they're not even CLOSE to being appropriate.

--Chris sings, quote, "Girl, I wanna [eff] you right now / Been a long time, I've been missing your body."

--He also talks about wanting to "lick her icing", "give it to her in the worst way" and "blow her candles out."

--This isn't where the collaboration ends. Rihanna also added some vocals to a remix of Chris's song "Turn Up the Music". It's not nearly as offensive, though.

--She says, quote, "Turn up the music 'cuz I feel a little turned on / Turn up the music don't you try to turn me down."

Chris Brown Wished Rihanna a Happy Birthday on Twitter Yesterday

Yesterday was RIHANNA'S 24th birthday, and CHRIS BROWN made sure to wish her a happy one on Twitter.

--He said, quote, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROBYN!" (--Robyn is her first name. Rihanna is actually her middle name.)

--Rihanna re-Tweeted the message and added, "Thanks!"

Chris Tucker Now Owes More Than $12 Million in Taxes

I don't know if he was using WESLEY SNIPES' tax guys or what, but "Rush Hour" star CHRIS TUCKER is now on the hook for more than $12 MILLION in back taxes.

--The IRS had previously hit him with liens for nonpayment of more than $11.5 million in federal taxes from 2001, 2002 and 2004 through 2006.

--And now, the state of Georgia says he owes them almost $600,000. That makes his grand total $12,164,504.08.

(--It might be time for Chris to get back to work. Since 1998 he's only released THREE FILMS: And they were all "Rush Hour" movies.)

(--Of course, he made $48 MILLION in salary alone for those flicks. The third one came out in 2007, and that's the last thing anyone's seen him in.)

Paris Hilton Wins $30,000 Gambling

This comes straight from the Life's Not Fair file: PARIS HILTON turned 31 on Friday and she spent the weekend in Vegas . . . where she won $30,000 at a blackjack table.

Nick Cannon Was Hospitalized last Week with Two Blood Clots in His Lungs

NICK CANNON'S health problems continue. After suffering mild kidney failure last month, Nick revealed on his radio show yesterday that he was hospitalized again last Friday.

--This time it was for two blood clots in his lungs and an enlarged right ventricle. And as a result, he's finally going to slow things down.

--He said, quote, "My doctor was saying that my work is going to kill me, and he's not joking.

--"I think part of the reason why my health did kind of deteriorate was because I wasn't resting a lot and I was doing too much. I was overworking myself, working out too much."

--But Nick got the message. Especially because he wants to be there for MARIAH CAREY and the twins. He says, quote, "I always took a lot of pride in working so hard and never taking a day off.

--"But I'm learning that it isn't the wisest thing all the time, especially being a new father. Not only wanting to spend more time with my children, but wanting to be there for my children."

--Luckily for him, "America's Got Talent" is moving to New York to accommodate new judge HOWARD STERN . . . which means less air travel for Nick between New York and L.A. (--Frequent flying increases the chance of blood clots.)

Bobby Brown IS invited to Whitney Houston's Funeral . . . And Aretha Franklin, Clive Davis, Stevie Wonder and Kevin Costner Will Be There Too

WHITNEY HOUSTON'S funeral tomorrow will be a star-studded affair. And for the record, BOBBY BROWN will be one of the stars in attendance.

--A source tells "People" magazine, quote, "He is not being banned. That's completely untrue. There was some talk . . . some people were angry at him, but that's just grief. He will be there."

--The night of the funeral, Bobby will be back onstage with NEW EDITION. They have a gig at the Mohegan Sun casino in Connecticut, which is only a few hours away from Newark, where the funeral is taking place.

--Meanwhile . . . ARETHA FRANKLIN and STEVIE WONDER will sing at the service. Music mogul CLIVE DAVIS . . . who discovered Whitney . . . will speak.

--Whitney's "Bodyguard" co-star KEVIN COSTNER will also speak . . . and the eulogy will be delivered by gospel singer MARVIN WINANS.

--The guest list includes Oprah Winfrey, Chaka Khan, Brandy, L.A. Reid, Alicia Keys, Tyler Perry and, of course, Whitney's cousin Dionne Warwick.

--Whitney's alleged boyfriend Ray J is also on the list . . . and R. Kelly might be there, too.

--And here's good news for all you Whitney fans . . . as well as the morbidly curious . . . the funeral will air live online. It's being streamed on the Associated Press' Livestream page. It starts at Noon Eastern Time.

"The Colbert Report" Was Shut Down This Week, Because of a Family Emergency

Comedy Central aired repeats of "The Colbert Report" on Wednesday and Thursday, after the show shut down suddenly and mysteriously.

--As of late last night, there was no official word on what's happening. But there are reports that STEPHEN COLBERT'S 91-year-old mother is "seriously ill," and he left to be with her. Production will be suspended until Stephen is ready to return.

Paul McCartney Has Finally Given Up Pot . . . at Age 69

PAUL MCCARTNEY is 69 years old, and he's finally decided to stop smoking pot, because of his eight-year-old daughter Beatrice. He tells "Rolling Stone", quote, "I did a lot. I smoked my share.

--"When you're bringing up a youngster, your sense of responsibility does kick in, if you're lucky, at some point . . . enough's enough . . . you just don't seem to think it's necessary."

--Paul says BOB DYLAN first turned him on to marijuana back in the '60s, and he's also experimented with other drugs over the years, including heroin, LSD and cocaine.

Chris Brown May Have Been at Rihanna's Birthday Party

RIHANNA threw a birthday party for herself at a private home in Los Angeles on Monday . . . and sources say CHRIS BROWN was there. In fact, TMZ claims they, quote, "spent a huge chunk of the night nuzzling up against" each other.

--And Chris was so worried about it going public that he actually tried to get everyone at the party to sign confidentiality agreements.

Kim Kardashian Says She's Not Ready for a Relationship Yet

The tabloids keep trying to put KIM KARDASHIAN and REGGIE BUSH back together. But it sounds like Kim isn't ready to date ANYBODY.

--In the new issue of "Allure" magazine, Kim talks about the lessons she learned from her 72-day marriage to KRIS HUMPHRIES. And it definitely sounds like she's not looking for love at the moment.

--She says, quote, "[It] definitely made me want to be more private with my relationship, whenever I choose to get into one again. I'm not ready but when that time comes, I'll be more cautious about who I let my world open up to."

--She also talks about having kids, but not right away . . . quote, "Do I want kids of my own? Absolutely. But I don't know if that's what’s meant for me. Maybe I'll just work, work, work, and not think about it."

--She adds, quote, "Khloe joked with me and said, 'Will you be my surrogate?' I think I have a couple more years when I just want my body to myself. At 35, I promise I'll consider it." (--Kim is 31.)

George Clooney is Still in Constant Pain

GEORGE CLOONEY is rich, famous, GORGEOUS . . . and he can have pretty much any woman he wants. But we've got this over him . . . he's in pain A LOT.

--While making the 2005 film "Syriana", George fell and split his head open. He ended up with a cerebral / spinal fluid leak. He's had surgery, but to this day, he still has pain three times a week, on average.

--And it sounds like he's just going to have to live with it. He says, quote, "It's been a long recovery. I had to accept that I'm going to beat this on a very different level, almost psychological.

--"I went to a pain-management guy whose idea was, 'You can't mourn for how you used to feel, because you're never going to feel that way again.' Meaning, you wake up with the worst hangover ever, and that's your day, and you have to come to terms with it.

--"I've gone from where I can't function, where 'I just can't live like this,' to 'I've got a bad headache.' It's called 'positional,' meaning the longer you sit upright or stand upright, the worse it gets. That's how it is.

--"As the day goes on, it gets worse. My ears will literally pop and my head goes [crazy]. But I'm scrappy."

Whitney Houston’s Funeral Will Be Streamed Live

They won't be there in person, but singer WHITNEY HOUSTON's millions of fans worldwide will be able to share in her funeral service Saturday by watching her private funeral on the Internet.

--It will provide a much-needed connection for fans who have lacked a formal place to eulogize Whitney.

--Some have gathered and placed flowers outside the Newark, N.J., church where the funeral will be held by invitation-only at the request of Houston's family, who wish to maintain some privacy.

--Houston's funeral will be at New Hope Baptist Church, where she sang as a child. Her eulogy will be given by gospel singer MARVIN WINANS, a Grammy Award winner and longtime family friend.

--Afterward, Houston will be buried in Fair View Cemetery in Westfield, N.J., according to her death certificate. Her father, John Russell Houston Jr., was buried there in 2003.

Whitney Houston's Room at the Beverly Hilton is NOT Booked . . . in Fact, the Hilton Isn't Going to Rent It Out Any Time Soon

Here’s a reminder that we can’t always trust what’s on TMZ.com: It turns out that the hotel room WHITNEY HOUSTON died in has NOT been rented out for the foreseeable future.

--Nobody's in it now, and nobody is going to be in it for a while . . . because the Beverly Hilton has decided to keep it VACANT for the foreseeable future.

--The hotel says TMZ didn't even bother to contact them before running a story saying that someone was already staying in it, and that it was booked well into the future.

Adele Is *Not* Waiting Five Years to Release Her Next Album

In several recent interviews, ADELE has hinted that it could be up to FIVE YEARS before she records her next album. But now, she's backtracking on that.

--In a new blog post, Adele says, quote, "I have a few days off now, and then it's the Brit Awards here at home, and then I'm straight into the studio. BOYYAHH! 5 years? More like 5 days!"

--This comes after Adele just told "Vogue" magazine, quote, "I am [effing] off for four or five years. If I am constantly working, my relationships fail. So at least now I can have enough time to write a happy record. And be in love and be happy."

--Adele's rep now says that was, quote, "just an offhand comment."

--And in December, Adele said, quote, "I'm really looking forward to some time to do nothing . . . I imagine I'll be 25 or 26 by the time my next record comes out. I haven't even thought about my third album yet." (--Adele is 23 now.)

Chris Brown Tells Miranda Lambert . . . And Several Other Stars . . . To Eff Off For Calling Out the Grammys

MIRANDA LAMBERT was at the Grammys on Sunday and was NOT thrilled that CHRIS BROWN performed two different times. She's not the only one upset either.

--It started on Monday when Miranda Tweeted this, quote, "Chris Brown twice? I don't get it. He beat on a girl."

--Then MICHELLE BRANCH wrote, quote, "Trying not to go off on a rant but . . . Chris Brown . . . (bites tongue) have we forgiven him?"

--And SHERRI SHEPHERD Tweeted, quote, "Looks like all is forgiven with Chris Brown. That's all I'll say."

--The messages made their way to Chris Brown . . . and he let his temper get the best of him. He posted an angry rant that was quickly taken down by his people. But not before Mashable.com got a screen shot and posted it.

Janet Jackson "Immediately Started Shaking" When She Heard of Whitney Houston's Death

JANET JACKSON opens up about WHITNEY HOUSTON in an interview that will air Monday on ANDERSON COOPER'S talk show.

--Janet says that when she first heard Whitney had died, quote, "I couldn't believe it. Immediately I started shaking . . . I was speechless."

--She adds, quote, "She was such a sweet, sweet soul. Especially back in the early '80s and early '90s is when I connected with Whitney the most.

--"It doesn't matter if we were doing an awards show. We would always take the time to find one another . . . We always found the time to talk to one another.

--"I pray for [Whitney's daughter Bobbi Kristina] and her family, even Bobby [Brown]. I mean, he's going through so much. They are all going through so much. The mother, it's very sad."

--Janet also has some advice for Bobbi Kristina . . . quote, "You have to come to terms with [Whitney's death] at some point. You have to actually give it up to God, and it sounds so mean, but you have to move on.

--"You can't hold onto that because it can be very devastating. Sometimes therapy is the best thing . . . you have to go on with your life. You figure out a way to move on. [But] it's always right there."

There Won't Be a Public Memorial for Whitney

WHITNEY HOUSTON'S family has decided to scrap the public memorial service that was supposed to take place Friday at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

--The mayor's office says, quote, "The Houston family has no plans to set up a public viewing at the Prudential Center this Friday. In compliance with the family's wishes, the city is not moving forward with any public ceremony."

--Instead, they're just having a private service at the New Hope Baptist Church, where Whitney used to sing as a child. The church seats about 300 people. There's no word who'll be on the guest list.

Jennifer Aniston Isn't Pregnant . . . And She Isn't Trying to Get Pregnant

In the new issue of "GQ" magazine, JENNIFER ANISTON tries to set the record straight once and for all. She says, quote, "I'm not having triplets. Not having twins. Nor am I having one baby . . . You heard it here. I'm not knocked up now."

--She and boyfriend JUSTIN THEROUX aren't TRYING to have kids, either. Although Jen won't mind if fertilization occurs.

--She says, quote, "I still kind of go with, if it happens, it happens. I'm calm and peaceful with whatever the plan is. It's not something where I'm going, 'I gotta have a kid!'"

--Jen also says she's enjoying her 40s . . . except for the extra pounds she put on recently . . . quote, "[My 40s are] great! Oh, my God, my 30s blew! 40s are great. Well, I recently quit smoking, and you do put on some extra pounds! It makes a difference, especially if you're not 20."

--Meanwhile, Jennifer was on RYAN SEACREST'S radio show yesterday, and Ryan surprised her by having STEVEN TYLER serenade her for her birthday. (--Jennifer turned 43 on Saturday.)

Rumer Willis' Home Was Burglarized

As if RUMER WILLIS doesn't have enough to deal with already with what’s going on with her mom. . .

--Rumer's house in the Hollywood Hills was burglarized in the last day or so, and the thieves stole $10,000 worth of stuff. The house is currently under construction, so it was unoccupied.

--A blowtorch or similar device was used to cut through a lock on an outside gate. Police don't have any suspects yet.

Beyonce Is Working on Two New Albums

It's only been a month since BEYONCÉ gave birth . . . but there's word she's already back to work. In fact, songwriter RYAN TEDDER claims she's working on TWO projects at the same time. Maybe that’s why she needs six nannies for baby Blue Ivy.

--Ryan wouldn't elaborate on the projects, but one might be the soundtrack for CLINT EASTWOOD'S upcoming remake of "A Star Is Born", which Beyoncé is starring in.

The Latest on Whitney Houston's Death

As you most certainly know by now, WHITNEY HOUSTON was found dead in her hotel room at the Beverly Hilton on Saturday afternoon. She was only 48 years old. The cause of death hasn't been determined yet.

--An autopsy was performed yesterday, but as usual, the results of toxicology tests won't be available for several weeks. Even the preliminary results are being kept under wraps.

--TMZ reports that Whitney was discovered in the bathtub with her face underwater and her legs up, as if she had slid down while sitting back in the tub.

--A stylist, a hairdresser and two bodyguards were in Whitney's room at the time. They started becoming suspicious when they realized Whitney had been in the bathroom for over an hour.

--They knocked, but there was no answer. So the hairdresser . . . who's a woman . . . went in and found her in the tub. One of the bodyguards attempted CPR, but it was already too late.

--When the paramedics arrived, they pronounced Whitney dead at 3:55 P.M.

--Sources say that WHITNEY HOUSTON had a prescription for the anti-anxiety drug Xanax.

--There's early speculation that Whitney overly-sedated herself by mixing Alcohol with Xanax and drowned. Sources say Whitney was drinking pretty heavily on Friday, the night BEFORE her death.

Whitney Houston's Daughter Was Hospitalized After Whitney's Death

WHITNEY HOUSTON'S 18-year-old daughter BOBBI KRISTINA was rushed to the hospital yesterday morning, less than 24 hours after her mother's death.

--Bobbi was taken from the Beverly Hotel, where her mother died Saturday afternoon, in an ambulance. But she was released later in the day.

--A spokesman for the Beverly Hills PD said Bobbi was treated for anxiety and stress.

Whitney Houston: The Tributes

DIDDY was one of the Grammy performers, and he told the crowd, quote, "Whenever you saw Whitney, she hit you with that beautiful smile. If we truly believe in God, then we should celebrate the life of Whitney Houston tonight."

--And attendee KATHY GRIFFIN said she probably won't make anymore Whitney Houston jokes . . . quote, "You know, I'm also a fan. I am a fan of so many people that I tease and bring up in my act. Whitney was certainly someone that I knew.

--"I hosted awards shows that she was in. I went to her concerts. She didn't lip sync. She was just so awesome."

The Grammys Were All About Adele . . . and Whitney Houston

Last night's Grammys alternated between paying tribute to WHITNEY HOUSTON . . . and celebrating ADELE, who had a HUGE year in 2011, before undergoing vocal cord surgery last November.

--Adele took home six awards . . . including the top three categories: Album of the Year for "21", plus Song of the Year and Record of the Year, both for "Rolling in the Deep".

--She also won Best Pop Solo Performance ("Someone Like You") . . . Best Pop Vocal Album ("21") and Best Short Form Music Video ("Rolling in the Deep").

--Those six trophies match a record BEYONCÉ set two years ago . . . for most Grammys in a single year by a female singer.

--One person who was SICK of hearing Adele's name was BRUNO MARS. Adele defeated him in FIVE categories . . . leaving Bruno to go home empty-handed.

--As expected, Adele also returned to the stage for the first time since having vocal cord surgery three months ago. Not surprisingly, she sang "Rolling in the Deep".

--Adele wasn't the only big winner. The FOO FIGHTERS won FIVE of the six categories they were nominated in: Best Rock Album, Best Rock Song, Best Rock Performance, Best Hard Rock / Metal Performance and Best Long-Form Video.

--Their only loss came to Adele in the Album of the Year category.

--Also, Bruno Mars wasn't the only loser . . . but he was the BIGGEST loser.

--Bruno went 0-for-6 . . . LIL WAYNE was 0-for-5 . . . MUMFORD & SONS went 0-for-4 . . . and COLDPLAY and NICKI MINAJ were 0-for-3.

Madonna Says She "Wasn't Happy" That M.I.A. Gave America the Middle Finger During the Super Bowl Halftime Show

There has been talk that MADONNA was NOT PLEASED with M.I.A. for hijacking the Super Bowl halftime show with her middle finger. And now, it's official.

--In an interview on RYAN SEACREST'S radio show, Madonna said she didn't find out about it until after the performance . . . and, quote, "wasn't happy about it."

--She added, quote, "I understand it's punk rock and everything, but to me there was such a feeling of love and good energy, and positivity, it seemed negative.

--"It's such a teenager, irrelevant thing to do . . . there was such a feeling of love and unity there. What was the point? It was just out of place."

--In another radio interview with CARSON DALY, Madonna said that M.I.A. has apologized to her. She added, quote, "I know she feels bad . . . I accept her apology, but you know, I think she still has her head in the sand right now. I'm not sure."

--Madonna said that the NFL was pretty clear that they didn't want any . . . well, malfunctions . . . and she respected that.

--She said, quote, "The NFL was super honest with us about what we could and couldn't do and I had no interest in rocking the boat or doing anything to offend anybody. We were all clear on that and it was a joyous evening.

--"[It was] not the place for [M.I.A.'s gesture]. It felt like a negative note."
