About the bands:

Although they began playing in 1999, All-American Rejects did not release their self-titled debut CD until 2002. It went on to sell more than 1-million copies and produced the hit “Swing Swing.” The band’s sophomore release, Move Along, sold more than 2-million copies in 2006 with three singles in the Top 10: “Move Along,” “Dirty Little Secret,” & “It Ends Tonight.” When The World Comes Down, released at the end of 2008, features “Gives You Hell” – the most played song on WZPL so far this year. All American Rejects can also be found on Madden ’09, Rock Band 2, and soundtracks for The House Bunny and Transformers Revenge of the Fallen

Barenaked Ladies have just finished recording their 12th studio CD, scheduled for release in early 2010.  BnL have won a Juno Awards and been nominated for Grammy Awards for hits like “Pinch Me,” “If I Had $1,000,000,” “The Old Apartment,” “Brian Wilson,” “One Week,” and others. The Canadian rockers have also pioneered new media technology, offering recent CDs to consumers on USB flash drives and same-day downloads of entire concert performances on their website; band members actively blog, participate in social media, and post unique content online. BNL, best known for their light-hearted comedic performances.  This will be the second time BnL have played Z99.5's Jingle Jam concert; the first as headliners in 2002.

John Ondrasik is the artistic force behind Five for Fighting. Ondrasik has become one of this decade’s most prolific singer-songwriters, thanks to the success of his million-selling 2000 CD America Town and 2004’s The Battle for Everything. His singles “Superman (It’s Not Easy)” and “100 Years” have reached the top of American radio charts. “Chances,” the first release from his fifth CD, Slice, seems destined to follow the same path.  Ondrasik has been recognized extensively for his charitable work, including the creation of What Kind of World Do You Want – the first ever video charity site. He has performed for several USO world tours, produced two compilation CDs to raise money in support of military families, is active with MDA and ALS organizations, and won a 2009 fatherhood award from the National Fatherhood Initiative.

On their major-label debut album Stages (Epic Records), Vedera have been able to capture the magic that has made them such a hot live property over the past few years. The Kansas City, Missouri-based quartet, led by Kristen May, have toured incessantly since releasing their first EP in 2004, honing their sound and building their considerable fan base the grassroots way – one fan at a time. Those who have seen them live are already familiar with Vedera’s sound consisting of dreamy pop melodies, shimmering rock guitar, driving rhythm section, and the band’s not-so-secret weapon: May’s soaring vocals. Her glass-cut voice can swoop from a delicate hush to an open-throated keen on a dime as her passionate delivery provides the emotional uplift required of her lyrics. Vedera will be in the spotlight of several television networks in December and their first radio single, “Satisfy,” was already showcased in an episode of MTV reality show The Hills.

The Elms, based in Seymour, Indiana, are known for their breed of Midwestern roots-rock, reminiscent of sounds from the 60’s and 70’s. The Great American Midrange, their seventh and latest self-produced CD, is their fastest-selling album to date. It debuted at #18 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart and has produced the regional airplay hit single “Back to Indiana.”
