--"She eventually gave in, fell head over heels for him and then once he had made his conquest, he dumped her. She's really upset about it. She is making it seem like it wasn't serious with John, but she is hurt."

Britney Spears is Still Under a Conservatorship Because of Some Kind of Medical Issue 

BRITNEY SPEARS is still under her conservatorship after four and a half years . . . and there's a good reason for that.

--Britney's people filed papers this week asking the judge in the conservatorship case to seal certain "highly sensitive" records that could cause Britney, quote, "irreparable harm and immediate danger."

--Sources say these records have to do with a SERIOUS MEDICAL ISSUE that prevents Britney from consistently making sound decisions.

--Whatever this disorder is, it affects Britney's personality and state of mind . . . and while she's currently doing, quote, "extremely well", she still needs that safety net.

Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama Are Tweeting Like Lovers 

DEMI LOVATO and WILMER VALDERRAMA have been Tweeting like they're together again.

--For Demi's 20th birthday earlier this week, Wilmer Tweeted, quote, "Feliz Cumpleaños 2 my angel @ddlovato, U continue 2 make me proud. U are the hero this generation it's been waiting 4! With & by you always."

Is Prince Harry Blaming His Security Team for His Nude Photo Scandal?

PRINCE HARRY may have found a scapegoat for his nude photo scandal. He's blaming his SECURITY TEAM for letting it happen.

--Sources say Harry's bodyguards . . . who are paid for by British taxpayers . . . should have confiscated the phones and other recording devices of everyone who went up to Harry's VIP suite before any partying commenced.

--Another source says the guards dropped the ball because they were too busy enjoying the party themselves. And even when one person started snapping pictures, they didn't stop it.

--One of them said, quote, "Awww, come on . . . no photos" . . . and that's it.

--Meanwhile, RYAN LOCHTE discussed his weekend swimming race with Harry on yesterday's "Today" show.

--Ryan said he wasn't invited to Harry's party, and he's "kinda happy" about that because, quote, "I don't need that."

An Intruder Broke Into LL Cool J's House, and LL Beat the Crap Out of Him

An intruder broke into LL COOL J'S home in L.A. on Tuesday night . . . but unfortunately for him, LL was home at the time, and he was feeling confrontational.

--According to reports, LL heard something at around 1:00 A.M., and went to investigate.  He discovered an intruder in his kitchen . . . and proceeded to BEAT THE CRAP OUT OF HIM.

--Police sources tell the "Los Angeles Times" that the intruder "rushed" him, which led to a, quote, "knock-down drag-out fight."

--The cops showed up shortly after that, and arrested the guy.  He was hospitalized, and is being treated for several injuries including a broken nose and jaw.

--It definitely doesn't sound like this guy was a professional robber.  He's being described as a "transient," and officials believe he may suffer from "mental issues."  He's 58 years old.

--LL's rep says, quote, "[He] and his family are safe and thank everyone for their thoughts and concern.  As a father, husband and citizen, he is committed to keeping his family safe and is cooperating with authorities on this private matter."

Are Robert Pattinson and Rihanna Texting?

RIHANNA is reportedly interested in ROBERT PATTINSON, and she's been texting him.

--A source says Rihanna thinks Rob is "very cute", but she never pursued him because he was attached.  Now there's some room to work.

--Rihanna got Rob's number from a mutual friend, and she's been sending him some, quote, "sexy, funny texts" to cheer him up.

--The source says Rob has been RESISTING . . . but his friends are pushing him to GO FOR IT . . . telling him it's time to enjoy life again.

PRINCE HARRY might be in a little trouble over his nude photo scandal . . . in the form of a REPRIMAND from his superiors in the British army.

--A military source says, quote, "Officers should never bring the Service into disrepute, whether on or off duty.  This display of social misbehavior has raised eyebrows.

--"[But] he won't be dismissed.  This type of behavior is not expected of someone his age and rank.  They will call him in when he gets back and want to talk to him about it."

--Meanwhile, another source says Harry's brother PRINCE WILLIAM was told about the photos yesterday and, quote, "He's not impressed."

Did Scott Disick Leave His Son Mason in a Hot Car With the Windows Up?

If you watch those Kardashian shows you probably don’t have a high opinion of  SCOTT DISICK so maybe this won’t surprise you.

--The "National Enquirer" says he left his 2-year-old son Mason alone for five minutes in his Mercedes SUV with the windows rolled up . . . on a day when the temperature was around 107 degrees.  

--Plus the car was parked in the sun, and the engine was off, so the air conditioning couldn't have been on.  Scott was looking at magazines on a newsstand while his kid baked.

--KOURTNEY was reportedly LIVID when she found out, and she doesn't want Scott going anywhere with Mason or their newborn daughter unless someone else is with him.

A Ton of Celebrities Are Participating in an Upcoming Cancer Telethon

A ton of big-name celebrities are participating in the third Stand Up to Cancer telethon, which will air September 7th.  It's being broadcast on over 20 networks simultaneously, including ABC, CBS, Fox and NBC.

 --The stars include:  Gwyneth Paltrow, Julia Roberts, Matt Damon, Michael Douglas, Jessica Biel, Samuel L. Jackson,Jeremy Renner, Seth Rogen, Emma Stone, Taylor Swift, Coldplay, Alicia Keys and Tim McGraw.

--Katie Couric, who co-founded Stand Up to Cancer, will also be on hand.  Her husband Jay died of colorectal cancer in 1998.

Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger from Nickelback are Engaged

Here's something you probably didn't know:  AVRIL LAVIGNE has been dating NICKELBACK singer CHAD KROEGER for about six months. 

--Oh, and it gets better:  They're ENGAGED.  Chad proposed on the 8th of this month with a 14-carat diamond.  Avril's rep says, quote, "A romantic relationship blossomed as they spent time writing together."

--Avril is 27 and Chad is 37.

--This will be Chad's first marriage and Avril's second.  She previously made The Big Mistake with Deryck Whibley of Sum 41.  That marriage only lasted three years.

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are Officially Divorced

TOM CRUISE and KATIE HOLMES are free to move on with their lives.  Their divorce became final on Monday.  Obviously, the details are being kept confidential.

--This was about as quick, amicable and painless as divorces get.  Katie filed in June.

--But maybe it wasn't so painless on Tom's end.  Sources say he's dealing with the split by throwing himself into his work . . . while simultaneously neglecting his health.

--Tom has lost 14 pounds since Katie filed . . . and he's ignoring friends who are telling him to SLOW DOWN.

--One source says, quote, "Tom is trying to soldier on.  He doesn't seem to be himself.  He hasn't been working out like he normally does and doesn't appear to be eating well at all.  His clothes just hang off him."

Police Have Questioned Lindsay Lohan . . . And There's Missing Jewelry Involved

Here we FRICKIN' go again:  LINDSAY LOHAN was questioned by police on Monday . . . and their questions involved MISSING JEWELRY.  Here's what happened:

--Lindsay was invited to a house party on Sunday night . . . which went so late it turned into a sleepover.  Lindsay brought her brother Cody, her assistant and two unidentified guys.

--The next day, the host realized that some expensive watches and sunglasses were missing, so he told everyone not to leave and called police . . . who showed up and questioned everyone.

--TMZ says that Lindsay is NOT a suspect.  In fact, she asked the cops if she was, and when they said no, she left.

--But they also say that the owner believes it was the two guys Lindsay brought to the party who stole his stuff.  It's not clear if they were still there when police arrived.

Prince Harry Partying Naked in Vegas!

We've always known that PRINCE HARRY can have a good time.  And he proved that he's still on his game by PARTYING NAKED in Las Vegas over the weekend.

--It happened Friday night when Harry and some friends went down to the bar in their hotel looking for chicks.  They found some, and pretty soon, everybody was in Harry's VIP suite playing STRIP BILLIARDS.

--And someone was kind enough to snap some photos.  Two of them ended up online yesterday.

--One pic shows a FULL-FRONTAL Harry . . . although he's cupping his royal package so you can't see it.  And there's a girl who's at the very least TOPLESS snuggling up to him from behind.

--In the second photo, it's Harry who's coming up on a girl from behind.  They're both naked . . . and Harry's ROYAL CRACK is exposed.

--A spokesman for the royal family says, quote, "We have no comment to make on the photos at this time."

"Jimmy Kimmel Live" Is Moving Up to 11:35 P.M. to Compete with Leno and Letterman

JIMMY KIMMEL has agreed to a new contract extension, which will keep "Jimmy Kimmel Live" on ABC until 2015.

--As part of the deal, ABC is moving the show up to 11:35 P.M. to put it in direct competition with "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" and "The Late Show with David Letterman".  The time change will begin January 8th.

--Until then, "Jimmy Kimmel Live" will continue to air at midnight after "Nightline".  After the change, "Nightline" will move to 12:35 A.M.  And beginning in March, ABC will add an hour of "Nightline" in primetime on Friday nights at 9:00 P.M.

--Kimmel says, quote, "I am excited, honored, and grateful to ABC for this strong vote of confidence, inexplicable as it may be."

--The thinking is that "The Tonight Show" and "Letterman" are fading, and Kimmel could eat into their advertising revenues because his show is big with younger viewers in the coveted demographic of 18- to 49-year-olds.

--For what it's worth, Letterman is 65, Leno is 62 and Jimmy is 44. 

Michael Strahan Is Supposedly Kelly Ripa's New Co-Host

Word has it former NFL star MICHAEL STRAHAN has been chosen to be KELLY RIPA'S permanent co-host on "Live!  With Kelly".  (--Although, that will probably be changed to something like "Live!  With Kelly and Michael" if this is true.)

--Anonymous "staffers at ABC" reportedly confirmed this, after seeing Michael's rep outside the building, quote, "grinning from ear to ear."

Hope Solo Says Her "Dancing With the Stars" Partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy Slapped Her in the Face

MAKSIM CHMERKOVSKIY has a reputation of being the hard-ass on "Dancing With the Stars".  And when he teamed up with Olympic soccer minx HOPE SOLO for Season 13, he showed just how hard he could be.

--In her new book "Solo: A Memoir of Hope", Hope says Maksim actually SLAPPED HER ACROSS THE FACE during rehearsals.

--She says, quote, "He wanted my head in a specific position.  To achieve that, he slapped me across the face.  Hard."

--And that's not all he did.  Hope says, quote, "He manhandled me in rehearsals from the start, pushing me, whacking my stomach, bending my arms roughly.  I thought that was just how it went . . . how dancers worked with each other.

--"But it kept getting worse . . . One day, Maks was trying to put me in a certain position and hit my stomach so hard with his open palm that I had a red handprint there for the rest of the day."

--Hope claims she never said anything because she didn't want to "end his career."

--Maksim hit up Twitter the other day and posted some messages that don't mention Hope by name . . . but they definitely seem to be his response to this chaos.

We have no idea if this is true, but an Internet gossip columnist named Janet Charlton claims that JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE and JESSICA BIEL got married this weekend in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

--That's literally all we've heard at this point.  You may go about your business.

"Top Gun" Director Tony Scott Committed Suicide by Jumping Off a Bridge

"Top Gun" director TONY SCOTT committed suicide yesterday, by jumping off the Vincent Thomas Bridge in the Long Beach area of Los Angeles.  He was 68.

--Witnesses say around 12:30 in the afternoon, he climbed a nine-foot fence and jumped, quote, "without hesitation."  Police found a suicide note in his office, but there's no word what it said.

--It's not clear exactly where he jumped from, but the bridge is about 185 feet above the water.  His body was retrieved by a diving team.

--Scott's other movies include "The Hunger", "Beverly Hills Cop 2", "Days of Thunder", "True Romance","Crimson Tide","Enemy of the State", and the recent DENZEL WASHINGTON movie "Unstoppable".

--There's also been talk of him directing TOM CRUISE in a "Top Gun" SEQUEL.

--Scott is the younger brother of director RIDLEY SCOTT.  The two of them were co-producers of the TV shows  "NUMB3RS" and"The Good Wife".  They also produced the four-hour miniseries "Coma", which will air on A&E next month.

Is Kristen Stewart Living on Cigarettes, Red Bull and Potato Chips?

The "National Enquirer" claims that KRISTEN STEWART is living on a dangerous diet of ciigarettes, Red Bull and potato chips.

 --A source says, quote, "Kristen is a nervous wreck and existing on a diet of cigarettes, sugar-free Red Bull and the occasional bag of potato chips.  She's been hiding out at the L.A. home of a producer friend and is looking pale and worn-out.

--"Kristen is grief-stricken and has hit rock-bottom.  In many ways, Kristen living off cigs and Red Bull is a way of punishing herself."

--She's also refusing any kind of help, including therapy, because, quote, "Part of her just doesn't want to feel better."

Russian Activists Have Sued Madonna for $10.5 Million for Promoting Gay Rights During a Recent Concert

Russian activists have sued MADONNA for supporting gay rights during a recent concert in St. Petersburg.  They want nearly $10.5 MILLION in "moral damages."

--Russia is far from being gay-friendly.  Earlier this year, a law was passed in St. Petersburg, which makes it illegal to "promote homosexuality to minors."  There were minors at Madonna's show . . . including kids as young as 12.

--During the concert, Madonna "stomped on an Orthodox cross, and asked fans to raise their hands to show [off] pink armbands in support of gays and lesbians that were distributed among the audience."

--This happened during a long pro-gay speech . . . where Madonna said, quote, "It's in every holy book, 'Love thy neighbor, as thy self.'  You cannot use religion to treat other people badly, you cannot use God's name to treat other people badly.

--"We all deserve love.  So, let's all go out into the world, and spread this message of love, and live our life without fear.  Amen." 

Prince William Saved a Drowning Girl

PRINCE WILLIAM and his Royal Air Force Search and Rescue team saved a drowning girl off the coast of Wales this past Thursday.

--The 16-year-old girl and her 13-year-old friend were body-boarding when they got caught in a riptide and dragged out to sea.  The younger girl was rescued by a surfer, but the older girl swallowed water and was slowly going under.

--Prince William's team had just landed its helicopter after completing routine exercises, so they were able to jump right back in and get there in just 38 seconds.

--One of William's crewmembers says, quote, "We really did arrive in the nick of time."

"The Tonight Show" Laid Off 20 People, and Jay Leno Took a Pay Cut

Is the ghost of CONAN O'BRIEN haunting NBC?

--"The Tonight Show" just went through a massive "downsizing."  They fired 20 employees . . . and some sources say it might have been more.

--JAY LENO agreed to a, quote, "tremendous pay cut . . . to save as many people's jobs as he could."

--His rep says, quote, "Jay's foremost concern is for the wonderful people who work for 'The Tonight Show'.  He did what was necessary to ensure their well-being."

--Jay definitely isn't hurting though.  Supposedly, he made around $30 million a year before the cut . . . plus another $15-to-$20 million a year from "other gigs."  A "source" tells the "Los Angeles Times" that his new salary is around $20 million.

--There's no official explanation for the downsizing, but it probably has to do with ratings.  The "Tonight Show" is still a top-rated late-night show, but it's been on the decline ever since he reclaimed the show from Conan in 2010.

--Also, the show isn't big with younger viewers in the coveted 18-to-49-year-old demographic.  "Jimmy Kimmel Live!", "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" and "The Colbert Report" have beaten "The Tonight Show" in that category.

Bobby Brown is Back in Rehab

BOBBY BROWN is back in rehab.  A source says it's for ALCOHOL abuse . . . quote, "Bobby decided that he needed help and wants to make the best out of the rest of his life for his children's sake."

--Bobby's new wife Alicia Etheridge confirmed that he's in rehab, but didn't say what he's having a problem with.  However, she did say he's, quote, "doing great."

Is Kristen Stewart Being Dropped From the "Snow White and the Huntsman" Sequel?

There's talk on the World Wide Web of Movie Gossip that KRISTEN STEWART has been DROPPED from the "Snow White and the Huntsman" sequel.

--Supposedly, Universal Studios is re-tooling the concept so that instead of a proper follow-up, they're going to do a spin-off focusing on THE HUNTSMAN . . . who was played by CHRIS HEMSWORTH in the original.

--That way they can get rid of Kristen, who messed a lot of things up when she had an affair with the original movie's director, RUPERT SANDERS.

--However . . . Universal says they're NOT doing this to get rid of Kristen.  Her Snow White character COULD still appear in the Huntsman movie.  Also, Sanders hasn't been ruled out as director.

Robert Pattinson Says He's Okay . . . And Admits the Tabloid Attention He Gets is "Weird"

ROBERT PATTINSON was on "Showbiz Tonight" yesterday with his "Cosmopolis" director DAVID CRONENBERG.  And he said he's doing okay.

--And he was asked about all the crazy media attention he's been getting, including reports that he's drinking and "wallowing in misery."

--He said, quote, "Since the first 'Twilight', you enter this kind of realm where . . . you get stuff reported about you, and it's weird . . . You start having a total disassociation."

--He added, quote, "And on top of that loads of people just make it up anyway."

--Then the interviewer asked if he really IS okay, and he said, "Yeah." 

Carson Daly Really Wants His Son to Accept His Soon-to-Be-Born Sister

CARSON DALY and his girlfriend SIRI PINTER are expecting a baby girl in a few weeks.  And they're making sure that their 3-year-old son Jackson is cool with it.

Zach Galifianakis is Married

ZACH GALIFIANAKIS got married Saturday on a farm in Vancouver.  His new wife is Quinn Lundberg, who runs a charity that helps Third World nations.  Zach is 42 . . . Quinn is 29.  They've been dating since at least 2010.

--Comedians SARAH SILVERMAN and PATTON OSWALT were among the guests.  Rumor has it Zach's "Hangover" co-stars ED HELMS and BRADLEY COOPER were there, too.

BRAD PITT and ANGELINA JOLIE didn't get married this past weekend.  So now the tabloids are saying it's going to happen THIS COMING weekend.

--Supposedly, they've commissioned wedding bands from their jeweler worth about $784,000 each.

--Here's how a British tabloid described them . . . quote, "They are matching rose gold bands with a tablet-cut diamond in them and their vows to each other engraved in them.  You can't see it with the naked eye but they both know they're there."

Jeremy Renner Calls the Kardashians "Ridiculous People With Zero Talent"

JEREMY RENNER has joined the growing list of CELEBRITY KARDASHIAN HATERS.

--In an interview with a British newspaper, Jeremy was discussing the pitfalls of fame, when the reporter mentioned the Kardashians.  And that set Jeremy off.

 --He said, quote, "Oh, all those ridiculous people with zero talent who spend their lives making sure everyone knows their name.  Those stupid, stupid people."

--This makes Jeremy the FOURTH actor in recent memory to take a shot at the Kardashian family.

--JON HAMM started the ball rolling when he told "Elle" magazine, quote, "Whether it's Paris Hilton or Kim Kardashian or whoever, stupidity is certainly celebrated.

--"Being [an effing] idiot is a valuable commodity in this culture because you're rewarded significantly."

--Then JONAH HILL joined in when he added, quote, "The fact that the Kardashians could be more popular than a show like 'Mad Men' is disgusting.  It's super disgusting to be a part of that culture."

--And then James Bond himself, DANIEL CRAIG, piled on when he told "GQ" magazine, quote, "Look at the Kardashians, they are worth millions.  Millions!  I don't think they were that badly off to begin with but now look at them.

Taylor Swift Bought a House That is Uncomfortably Close to the Kennedy Compound . . . And She Has a New Single Out

TAYLOR SWIFT bought a $4.9 million house located ACROSS THE STREET from the Kennedy Compound in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts.  That’s a little creepy given she’s rumored to be dating CONOR KENNEDY.

--Naturally, the house is huge.  It has 13 rooms, several gardens, an arbor, a brick patio with fireplace, a farmhouse kitchen and seven bedrooms. 

--Speaking of Taylor Swift:  She did that video chat yesterday . . . and announced that her new album is called "Red" . . . and it's going to drop October 22nd.

--And it sounds like she's covering the same old themes.  She said, quote, "[The songs] are all pretty much about . . . the tumultuous . . . semi-toxic relationships I've experienced in the last two years.  In my mind all of those emotions are red.

--"I'm trying not to be too cryptic with it but I'm also trying to not give it all away . . . hiding little codes in lyrics."

Jon Stewart Gave Robert Pattinson Ice Cream on the "Daily Show" Last Night

ROBERT PATTINSON made his first post-scandal appearance on "The Daily Show"  last night, and it was a little awkward, but definitely entertaining.  And Rob actually did really well considering the circumstances.

--JON STEWART started the interview off by breaking out the Ben and Jerry's ice cream.  And he said, quote, "We're just a couple-a gals talking."

--They did reference the KRISTEN STEWART thing for the first few minutes, without actually saying her name.

--Pattinson admitted he didn't really know what to say because, quote, "I'm cheap, I didn't hire a publicist."

--The closest anyone came to making a direct comment about the scandal was when Stewart, in a "sassy chick" kind of voice, said, quote, "Boy, you are better off!  Kick her to the curb!"

--Rob was actually booed OUTSIDE the studio, because he didn't get out of his car to meet with his waiting fans.  

--But he did sign autographs later that night at the Museum of Modern Art.  And he told fans, quote, "Thank you, guys, for being here."

Miley Cyrus Will Guest Star as a "Love Interest" for Angus T. Jones' Character on "Two and a Half Men"

MILEY CYRUS will guest star on "Two and a Half Men" this coming season.  She's playing a "love interest" for Jake, ANGUS T. JONES' character.

--According to the "Hollywood Reporter", her character is described as "a sexy new girl in town with a comedic streak."  It's unclear if this is just a one-episode thing . . . or if she'll stick around for multiple episodes.

"The Price Is Right" Is on the Hunt for a Male Model

"The Price Is Right" is holding a contest to find its first MALE MODEL . . . but unfortunately, the winning guy will only appear on the show for ONE WEEK.

--A casting call will be held in Los Angeles on August 30th, where the dudes will be judged on stuff like "verbal skills, posing and ability to properly showcase a product."

--The finalists will appear in a "five-episode web series" on the show's YouTube channel, then fans will vote for the winner, and that guy will appear on the show the week of October 15th. 

Blake Lively is a Liar! She Was Spotted Going to the Gym With Ryan Reynolds

We Don't Think Brad and Angelina Got Married Saturday . . . But Jennifer Aniston Got Engaged

Heading into the weekend, everyone was talking about the supposed marriage of BRAD PITT and ANGELINA JOLIE.

--The evidence?  They were having a big party at their estate in France, and the guy who designed Angelina's engagement ring was one of the guests.  Also, Brad allegedly bought Angelina a $400,000 watch as a wedding gift.

--Well, the official word was that Brad and Angelina were throwing a 50th anniversary party for Brad's parents . . . and as far as we know, that's exactly what happened.

--But JENNIFER ANISTON made some news . . . by getting ENGAGED to her boyfriend JUSTIN THEROUX.

--Justin's rep says, quote, "Justin Theroux had an amazing birthday on Friday, receiving an extraordinary gift when his girlfriend, Jennifer Aniston, accepted his proposal of marriage."

--There's obviously no word yet on a wedding date.

Lindsay Lohan Caused Trouble at a Birthday Party for Clint Eastwood's Daughter

It really, really IS time for LINDSAY LOHAN to go away.  Because she was causing trouble AGAIN last week.

--FRANCESCA EASTWOOD . . . yes, she's one of CLINT'S daughters . . . was celebrating her 19th birthday with friends in a private room at a club called Bootsy Bellows when Lindsay showed up and WENT OFF.

--A source says she, quote, "came over and started screaming that Francesca should leave.  She was yelling 'I'm a star, she's a nobody, get her out of here!'"

--When someone tried to get Lindsay to calm down, she became aggressive, and security had to ask her to leave.

--Lindsay's car almost hit a valet guy on its way out of the parking lot . . . but at least it was a friend, and not Lindsay, who was driving.

--This all happened last Tuesday.  But on Friday, Francesca's boyfriend told E! News, quote, "We were celebrating . . . and it was a blast.  Suddenly, there was a burst of chaos, and as quickly as it started it was over.

Jessica Simpson's Dad Was Arrested for DUI

JESSICA SIMPSON'S father JOE was arrested a week ago for driving under the influence in the Los Angeles area.

--Joe was busted on Saturday, August 4th at around 10:00 P.M.  He spent the night in lockup and was released a little before 10:00 A.M. the next morning.

--Sources say Joe had a blood-alcohol level of .12% . . . which is well over California's legal limit of .08%.

--This would be a first offense for Joe, who's 54 years old . . . meaning he probably won't get jail time.

Ryan Lochte Wants to Do "Dancing with the Stars" or "The Bachelor"

On Friday's "Today" show, Olympic pool pee-er RYAN LOCHTE was asked if he was going to do any reality TV . . . and he said, "Hopefully!  We'll see what happens.  I'm definitely looking towards, uh, 'Dancing with the Stars' and 'The Bachelor'."

--He didn't mention anything about "Project Runway" . . . but it sounds like that actually might be more up his alley.

--This past weekend they attended a party at the home of a Hollywood talent agent, and the "guests" included creatures from a wild animal preserve, including a kangaroo and an alligator.

 --A source says, quote, "They were really cute.  They were standing near each other most of the night, playing with the animals outside.  [They] definitely enjoyed each other's company.

--"They almost acted like they've been a couple for a long time.  It definitely didn't seem like a new relationship."

Zac Brown Went "Midget Bowling" at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally

ZAC BROWN was at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota over the weekend . . . and while there he tried his hand at "Midget Bowling".  Yes, bowling using a little person as the ball.

--Actually, it's more like "a modified slip and slide".

--Now, if this makes your "politically correct" antennae go up . . . you should hear what "Short Sleeve Sampson" has to say.  He's the little person who was "being rolled", so to speak.  He told TMZ that Zac did nothing wrong.

--In fact, Sampson said he's PROUD of Zac's skills . . . because he nailed a strike on his very first roll.

--Still, I can't help but think of Dwarf Tossing, which is against the law in certain parts of the country.  But Sampson says the difference is that no one is ever tossed into the air . . . and there's little chance anyone will get hurt.

Robert Pattinson Will Be on the "Daily Show" Monday

"Good Morning America" thought it had the first post-heartbreak interview with ROBERT PATTINSON . . . but that's no longer the case.

--Pattinson will appear on "The Daily Show With Jon Stewart" Monday night . . . two days before he does "GMA".

--Pattinson will be promoting his upcoming movie "Cosmopolis".  There's no official word if he'll talk about KRISTEN STEWARTduring either appearance.

--But a so-called "source" told the website GossipCop.com, quote, "He's never talked about his personal relationships before, and he's not going to start next week."

Snoop Lion Says He's Now in the Business of Making "Positive" Music

When SNOOP DOGG was Snoop Dogg, he did a lot of gangsta songs, but now that he's SNOOP LION, his goal is to create FEEL GOOD music.  He says, quote, "The world needs positivity and music that feels good, because music is relief.

--"That's what it does:  It relieves your pain, it relieves anything that you're going through.  When you go to a club or go in your car and put on your music it's for relief."

Joss Whedon Will Write and Direct the "Avengers" Sequel

If you liked "The Avengers" . . . and saw it 5 times like I did . . . this is good news:  JOSS WHEDON will return to write and direct the sequel.

--Meanwhile, Whedon is also developing a TV series for ABC based on the Marvel Comics universe.  That's all we know about it at this point.  There's no word if it'll be connected to "The Avengers", which is a Marvel property.

Seven Days of Olympics Coverage Took the Top Seven Spots in the Ratings

The Olympics are in full swing, and apparently, it's all anybody's watching on TV.  Seven days of Olympics overage took the top seven spots in the ratings, ranging from 25.1 million viewers at #1, to 18.3 million at #7.

--The most-watched night was last Tuesday's events.  That included the Women's Gymnastics Team Final where Team USA won gold . . . and MICHAEL PHELPS earning Silver in the 200-meter Butterfly and Gold in the 200-meter Freestyle Relay. 

--That's also the same night that Phelps first broke the record to become the most decorated Olympic athlete of all time, with a total of 19 medals.  (--He went on to break his own record three more times to end his career with 22 medals.)

Is Jennifer Lopez Breaking Up With Casper Smart?

JENNIFER LOPEZ and CASPER SMART are denying that Casper cruises for relations at adult erotica shops.  But several websites claim J-Lo is close to breaking things off with him.

--One source says, quote, "They are still together.  But the photos have shaken her up . . . They have not split yet, but it's fair to say they are cooling off a bit.  The pictures have created a distance between them.

--Another source doesn't mention those photos of Casper near a sex shop . . . but blames the "cooling off" on their age difference . . . quote, "This isn't Jen's first tour and she has been feeling more like Casper's babysitter than girlfriend.

NICK JONAS confirmed speculation that "American Idol" is talking to him about being a judge next season.  (--Last week, "Us" magazine reported that Nick and PHARRELL WILLIAMS were "frontrunners" to join the show.)

--Nick Tweeted, quote, "The rumors are true.  I am being considered to be a judge on 'American Idol', and it would be a dream come true if it happens.  #NickOnIdol."

Robert Pattinson Went to a Bar Friday Night . . . Meanwhile, Kristen Stewart is Crying a Lot and Not Showering

Here's your update on ROBERT PATTINSON and KRISTEN STEWART:  Rob made his first public appearance on Friday night since Kristen admitted to her cheating ways with director RUPERT SANDERS.

--He went to a bar in Ojai, California called the Deer Lodge with some friends.  A witness says, quote, "He wasn't moping . . . He wasn't drunk.  Just taking in the scene.  Smoked next to him outside."

--An employee adds that Rob was, quote, "enjoying the music with his friends. He seemed in good spirits."

--Meanwhile, Kristen has been staying with a friend named Giovanni Agnelli . . . who produced her movie "Welcome to the Rileys".  And she's not doing well.

--A source says, quote, "Kristen hasn't showered or changed or washed her hair in several days.  She is laying around in her T-shirt and shorts and eating ice cream.

--"She really wants to believe that she can win back Rob, but I think deep down she knows that isn't the case.

--At least one source claims that Kristen is making things WORSE by staying with Agnelli.  Because Rob is now accusing the two of THEM of sleeping together.

--The source says, quote, "Rob is beside himself over Kristen's betrayal.  No one has ever seen him like this."

It's Still On! Between Elton John and Madonna

It's on BIG TIME between MADONNA and ELTON JOHN.

--Elton is tight with LADY GAGA . . . she's even his son's godmother.  And he's not happy with the way Madonna has been dissing Gaga lately.  So in an interview on Australian TV, he really lit into her.

--He called her a FAIRGROUND STRIPPER and said her career is OVER.  He also dropped the C-WORD.  Here were his exact words . . .

--"Why is she such a nightmare?  Sorry, her career is over.  Her tour has been a disaster and it couldn't happen to a bigger [C-word].

--"If Madonna had any common sense she would have made a record like 'Ray of Light' and stayed away from the dance stuff and just been a great pop singer and make great pop records, which she does brilliantly.

Rosie O'Donnell Has Postponed Her Wedding Because Her Fiancée Has a Rare Disorder

ROSIE O'DONNELL has postponed her wedding until next summer . . . because her partner Michelle Rounds is battling a rare disease called DESMOID TUMORS.

--Rosie describes the tumors as, quote, "odd and curious beasts, strong and sneaky . . . a non-cancer that acts cancerous."  She also says there are only 900 cases a year in the U.S.

--Michelle actually had surgery in June, and Rosie says she's, quote, "getting stronger every day."

Natalie Portman is Married

NATALIE PORTMAN married her baby-daddy BENJAMIN MILLEPIED in a Jewish ceremony over the weekend.

--Natalie met Benjamin on the set of "Black Swan".  He was a choreographer and had a small on-screen role.  Their son Aleph is 13 months old.

Lindsay Lohan and Charlie Sheen Will Star in "Scary Movie 5"

LINDSAY LOHAN and CHARLIE SHEEN are expected to star in "Scary Movie 5".  Lindsay hasn't officially signed on, but every entertainment website is reporting that it's a done deal.

--Charlie was in the third and fourth installments.  He was killed off in "Scary Movie 4" . . . but that obviously doesn't matter in a series like this.

--The only other person confirmed for the movie at this point is ASHLEY TISDALE, who's new to the franchise.  ANNA FARIS, who has starred in every previous installment, made the wise choice to move on.

"Total Recall" Couldn't Take Down "The Dark Knight Rises"

The "Total Recall" remake made $26 million this weekend . . . but that was only good enough for 2nd place.  "The Dark Knight Rises" tacked on another $36.4 million this weekend to easily take the #1 spot for a third week in a row.

--The other new release, "Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days", made $14.7 million in 3rd place.  Here are this week's Top 5 movies:

1.)  "The Dark Knight Rises", $36.4 million.  Up to $355 million in its 3rd week.

2.)  (NEW)  "Total Recall", $26 million.

Robert Pattinson is Hiding Out at Reese Witherspoon's Ranch

We finally know where ROBERT PATTINSON is hiding out:  At REESE WITHERSPOON'S ranch in Ojai, California.

 --Robert and Reese co-starred in "Water for Elephants", and when those KRISTEN STEWART cheating photos surfaced, Reese offered him the place so he could get away from it all.

--Reese and her husband, who are expecting a baby, use the ranch as a vacation home.  Sources say Robert is, quote, "a total mess . . . He's questioning everything."

 --RadarOnline.com says Rob and Kristen ARE speaking again . . . but that Rob is nowhere near a place where he can forgive her.  A source says, quote, "Rob just isn't going to be able to get beyond the cheating, one time or not."

 --That hasn't stopped Kristen from trying.  She's been calling and texting him constantly.  A source says, quote, "She's dying to save the relationship.  It's the only thing she cares about."

 --Rob and Kristen will have to come to some kind of truce soon, because the last "Twilight" movie comes out in November, and there's a TON of promotion to be done.

 --A marketing suit says Summit Entertainment is, quote, "moving full steam ahead and looking forward to" the movie's opening.

Nothing surprising about this:  SNOOKI wants to give birth in heels.  She says, quote, "I'm packing heels, my leopard-print gown, eyelashes and makeup!

--"I wanna look good when [my baby] first sees me."

One Direction's Louis Tomlinson Thinks He's Going "Slightly Deaf" Because of Their Screaming Fans

ONE DIRECTION singer LOUIS TOMLINSON . . . the one who "likes girls who eat carrots" . . . thinks the group's screaming fans are causing him to go DEAF.

--He says, quote, "I am going slightly deaf in my right ear.  It's tinnitus . . . [or] something like that.  All our fans are always very loud."

--Naturally, Britain's "Daily Mirror" tabloid dug up a source that was willing to comment on the horrific problem of having loud, screaming fans.

--The source said, quote, "Screams during gigs have started affecting the boys on stage.  They're young and still developing, so management insists they wear high-tech earpieces and filters to reduce the volume of the screaming and the music."

--Of course, all of this has been blown out of proportion.

--As it turns out, Louis made his comment while suffering a "really bad earache" . . . and it has since "cleared up."  So, he's perfectly fine.

--Tinnitus is a serious condition . . . marked by a ringing or some other persistent sound in one or both ears.  One of the common causes of it is noise-induced hearing loss.

Jermaine is Backing Out . . . He Wants Unity in the Jackson Community!

JERMAINE JACKSON wants UNITY IN THE JACKSON COMMUNITY!

--He released a statement yesterday calling for a truce between the warring factions of the family . . . and officially dropping his signature from the letter seeking to have the executors of MICHAEL JACKSON'S estate removed.

--Jermaine said, quote, "Mistakes have been made and irrational things have been said on both sides in a highly charged emotional environment.  It is time for us all to draw a line in the sand and move towards peace, co-operation, love and healing."

--He also said that, quote, "mutual suspicions had allowed events to spiral out of control" . . . and added that he regrets, quote, "any distress caused to Prince, Paris and Blanket."

--And he said, quote, "After much soul-searching, it is clearly time for us to live by Michael's words about love not war."

--It's not clear where RANDY, JANET and REBBIE JACKSON currently stand.  But Jermaine did say he still has, quote, "deep reservations about many issues involved the estate."

--But he said that from now on, they'll be addressed in PRIVATE and, quote, "through the proper channels."

Is Jason Segel Leaving "How I Met Your Mother"?

There's speculation that JASON SEGEL is planning to leave "How I Met Your Mother" after the upcoming eighth season.

--An Austrian website quoted Jason saying, quote, "It's great to do some 'rated R' stuff again, because I've been playing the nice guy for quite a long time now. 

--"That's why I'm gonna quit 'How I Met Your Mother' after the eighth season."

--But Jason's rep says, quote, "Perhaps something got lost in translation, but Season Nine hasn't even been addressed yet."  CBS is in talks to bring the show back in 2013, but nothing's been decided.
