Did a Drunken Daniel Radcliffe Get Thrown Out of a Bar for Fighting With the DJ?

DANIEL RADCLIFFE once said he gave up drinking in August of 2010 . . . because he'd become an alcoholic by the age of 18.  Well, the "New York Post" says he's back on the sauce.

--Daniel was reportedly downing JAGER BOMBS at a joint called the Beauty Bar in New York when he got into some kind of argument with the DJ.  A source says, quote, "He was soon encouraged by management to grab a cab."

LIAM HEMSWORTH was filmed throwing down with a guy outside a bar in Philadelphia early Sunday morning.  The footage hit the web yesterday.

--When the footage starts, the guy is on the ground trying to hold onto the legs of Liam and a friend.  So Liam clocks him, and he and his friend push him off.  And that's the end of it.  We don't know what led up to that.

--But sources say Liam went after the guy because he thought he had thrown a rock at Liam and his friends.  Police eventually broke it up, but they didn't arrest anyone.

Russell Brand is Making Sure the Homeless in L.A.

RUSSELL BRAND is quickly becoming the patron saint of the homeless.  He recently left for a trip to Australia.  But before he did, he gave his friends wads of cash . . . so they could hand it out to the homeless in L.A. over the holidays.

--A source says, quote, "Russell didn’t want them to be left high and dry overnight.  He asked pals to make sure these guys are OK while he's away.

--"So they have been taking them along for food and making sure they've got warm clothing and a few dollars in their pocket until he gets back."

--The source adds that Russell usually spends around $2,000 a month, quote, "just helping people out."

Stupid New Reality Show Coming Your Way: "Best Funeral Ever"

TLC has a new reality show on the way called "Best Funeral Ever", which is about a crazy funeral home in Dallas that does over-the-top "theme" funerals.

--According to "Entertainment Weekly", examples include "a Christmas-inspired funeral complete with reindeer, elves and snow . . .

--"And a singer known for his famous rib sauce jingle remembered at a BBQ-themed funeral . . . including live pigs, praise dancers, and a BBQ sauce fountain where loved ones dip a ceremonious rib to say goodbye."

--It'll begin with a special on the day after Christmas . . . and if that does OK, they'll make it into a full-blown series in 2013.

Two Guys Were Plotting to Murder and Castrate Justin Bieber Last Month

We'll never know how close JUSTIN BIEBER actually was to being strangled to death and then castrated . . . but apparently, he was closer than you might imagine.

--Dana Martin . . . a New Mexico inmate who's serving life for the rape and murder of a 15-year-old girl . . . actually hatched a plan to have Justin killed and mutilated.  But he ended up foiling his own plan.

--Martin convinced fellow inmate Mark Staake to do the deed for him when he got out of the joint.  Once he was free, Staake recruited his nephew Tanner Ruane to help him.  And they planned to do it last month in New York City.

--The plan was for Mark and Tanner to take out FOUR people . . . two unknown victims in Vermont, then Justin and his bodyguard when they were in New York for a pair of gigs late last month.

--Martin wanted them to strangle the victims with paisley ties, which is apparently Martin's thing . . . then cut off their genitalia with pruning shears.

--But Martin . . . who's obsessed with Bieber and even has a tattoo of him on his leg . . . must have gotten cold feet.  Because he told the cops about the plot to kill the two guys in Vermont before they could carry it through.

--Both guys were arrested.

--And here's an interesting detail:  Martin promised to pay the guys $2,500 for EACH TESTICLE they collected.

#1.)  Unless we're spared by the Mayans, Season Two of "Snooki & JWoww" will premiere January 8th.  MTV has released a two-minute trailer, which features footage of Snooki in the hospital, where she gives birth to her son, Lorenzo.

#2.)  New episodes of "The Walking Dead" won't begin airing until February 3rd . . . but AMC has released three new promos to tide you over until then.  (--You can find all three of them at EOnline.com.)

"The Hobbit" Hits Theaters at Midnight Tonight

"The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey"  is the prequel to the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy, set 60 years before.  It was only one short book, but they're turning it into three movies.  It's all about how Bilbo Baggins joins a group of dwarves on a quest to reclaim their homeland from a dragon.

--Ian McKellen is back as Gandalf, Martin Freeman plays Bilbo Baggins, and Richard Armitage is the leader of the dwarves, the warrior Thorin Oakenshield.

--The returning "Lord of the Rings" cast includes Cate Blanchett as Galadriel, Hugo Weaving as Elrond, and Christopher Lee as the wizard Saruman.

--Even though the One Ring is NOT the focus of this trilogy, this is the movie where Bilbo meets Gollum . . . and ends up in possession of the ring.  So Andy Serkis is back as Gollum.

--Elijah Wood also appears as Frodo in some flash-forward scenes with the older version of Bilbo, played by Ian Holm.  (--You'll eventually see Orlando Bloom as Legolas again too, but he doesn't show up until the third movie.)

--You won't have to wait too long for your next Hobbit fix.  The other two movies will hit theaters each December over the next two years . . . starting with "The Desolation of Smaug" next December, and "There and Back Again" the summer after that.

--The next day, he and Eddie sent the money to the Hermosa Beach Police Officer's Association.  All the proceeds will go to the family.   (E! Online)

Taylor Swift's Security Team Shows Her Photos of All Her Stalkers

It's easy to focus on the fun parts of being TAYLOR SWIFT.  She travels all over the world on her private jet, she lives in fancy mansions, and dates famous cute dudes.  And then there's the downside . . . that there are people who want to do her harm.

--She tells Britain's "Cosmopolitan" magazine, quote, "I get nervous when I have stalker incidents.  Sometimes you get a dude who kind of wants to steal you.  That's why I'm so grateful I have people looking after me, like [my bodyguard] Dennis."

--She adds, quote, "I get told if there's been an attempt or a threat.  My security text me a picture and say, 'Look out for this dude; he's driven across the country, he's off his meds,' or something like that."

--Taylor does know that it comes with the territory.  She says, quote, "It's something you just have to deal with.

--"It's the price you pay for getting to do what you love.  You can let it take over your life and make you fearful all the time, or you can live your life in spite of it."

Did Michael Douglas Bring Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman Back Together?

It might be MICHAEL DOUGLAS who convinced DANNY DEVITO and RHEA PERLMAN to try to save their marriage.

--A source says, quote, "He told Danny he thought he was making a big mistake.  Michael loves Rhea and he told Danny he will never find another woman quite like her.  It's because of Michael they are talking to each other."

--Danny and Michael have known each other for ages.  Their professional relationship goes back to 1975, when Michael produced "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest", which Danny was in.

--In the '80s, they teamed up with KATHLEEN TURNER for three movies:  "Romancing the Stone", its sequel "Jewel of the Nile" and "War of the Roses".

--On the other end of the spectrum is KIM KARDASHIAN . . . who dropped 90 PLACES . . . from #8 last year to #98 this year.  The site says, quote, "She is petering off and basically dropping off the list at this point even as she's become more visible."

--SCARLETT JOHANSSON also took a hard drop . . . from #7 to #45.

--Meanwhile, infidelity seems to have HELPED KRISTEN STEWART.  She was 27th last year . . . this year she made it to #7.  And thanks to "Homeland"CLAIRE DANES made the list for the first time this year.  She's 20th.

Beyonce Has Signed a $50 Million Deal with Pepsi

Pretty soon we'll stop calling pop musicians "artists", and just refer to them as what they're increasingly becoming:  COMMERCIAL PITCHMEN.

--BEYONCE just signed a $50 MILLION DEAL with Pepsi that basically makes HER a Pepsi product.

--She'll do a new commercial and make various promotional appearances.  She's also doing the Super Bowl halftime show, which is sponsored by Pepsi.  And Pepsi will be investing in several of her CREATIVE PROJECTS.

"Sesame Street" Made a Video to Teach Kids About Divorce . . . But It Won't Air on the Show

"Sesame Street" has produced a 13-minute video to help teach kids about divorce.  But the segment won't air on the show . . . it'll be available online, as part of something called "Little Children, Big Challenges:  Divorce".

--The package also includes a storybook called "Two Hug Day", and a guide for parents.

--By not airing it on the show . . . and making it part of their optional content geared toward specific kids . . . they can tackle the issue directly without confusing or worrying kids it doesn't apply to.

--The segment stars the fairy character Abby Cadabby, whose parents have been divorced for a while.

--And here's how it initially comes out:  Abby and some friends draw pictures of their homes, and Abby draws TWO houses.  She explains, quote, "This one is where I live with my mommy . . . and this one is where I live with my daddy."

--Which seems like a more comforting approach than having kids watch a character experience a divorce in the present.  Since Abby is already living in the situation, it should feel more normal.

--"Sesame Street" actually tried to take on divorce before . . . back in 1992 . . . and it was a DISASTER.

--They planned an episode where Snuffy would announce that his dad was, quote, "moving out of our cave, [and moving to] some cave across town."  And Snuffy was upset, angry and crying.

--When "Sesame Street" previewed it to a test audience of kids, THEY FREAKED.  They didn't know what would happen to Snuffy . . . they cried . . . and they became paranoid that their own parents might get a divorce.

--So the episode was yanked from the schedule, and never aired.  (--For the record, "Sesame Street" says a test audience of kids reacted much better to the new divorce video.  There was no crying, and they "seemed to 'get it.'")

Charlie Sheen Wants a "Thank You" From Lindsay Lohan for the Hundred-Grand

When CHARLIE SHEEN gave LINDSAY LOHAN $100,000 to pay down some of her debt to the IRS, he didn't expect anything in return.  Except maybe a "thank you".

--He says, quote, "[She's] a very good and decent young lady that is just going through a lot.  I'm still waiting for a text to say 'thank you.'  Anything, you know?"

--The D.A. says, quote, "At a time when Rockland County and New York State face severe fiscal shortfalls, we cannot afford to allow wealthy residents to break the law by cheating on their taxes."

It's On! Between Wendy Williams and Beyonce

WENDY WILLIAMS says she's a BEYONCÉ fan . . . but that didn't stop her from SLAMMING her on her show Wednesday.  It was pretty harsh.  She basically said Beyoncé sounds DUMB.

--Wendy was talking about Beyoncé's upcoming HBO documentary, and she said she's planning on watching it . . . with subtitles . . . so she can understand what she's saying.

--Wendy said, quote, "I am a Beyoncé fan . . . I'm going to be watching this documentary . . . because fortunately, one of the TVs in our kitchen has closed-captioning, so I'll be able to understand what she says.

--"You know Beyoncé can't talk.  Beyoncé sounds like she's got a fifth grade education.  She can't talk . . . I just said I was a fan, but we have to call a spade a spade.  Honestly.  We really do have closed-captioning just for times like that."

--Beyoncé hasn't responded . . . and Wendy hasn't commented on it since.

Chris Rock Says Today's Comedians Aren't That Great

CHRIS ROCK is 47 years old.  And apparently, 47 is the new 80.  Because Chris steps into grumpy old man territory in the new issue of "Vanity Fair", by complaining about the current state of comedy.

--Asked if today's comedians are better than those he grew up on, Chris says, quote, "Hell [effin'] no."

--He explains, quote, "Show me one guy or woman as funny as Rodney Dangerfield or as good as George CarlinRichard Pryor,Bill Cosby, or Joan Rivers.

--"There are a lot of good comics out there, no doubt, but as far as the quality of the comics goes, I think what you have is a bunch of situational comics.

--"What we have now is black comics that work only black crowds, gay comics that do only gay crowds, and southern comics that only work down South, and so on with Asian, Latino, Indian, midgets, etc.

--"The previous generation's comics were better because they had to make everybody laugh.  Richard Pryor could do 'The Ed Sullivan Show' and play the Apollo."

--As for who stands out, he says, quote, "[Jerry] Seinfeld can work any crowd.  Ellen [DeGeneres] can work any crowd.  [George] Lopez can work any crowd.  And a few more, but the rest of them are just situational comics."

Prince William and Kate Middleton Are Expecting . . . And She's In the Hospital with Morning Sickness

The good news for the Royal Family is that KATE MIDDLETON is pregnant.  The bad news?  She's in the hospital with a very severe form of morning sickness called HYPEREMESIS GRAVIDARUM.

--It's marked by nausea and vomiting, but on a more extreme scale than regular morning sickness . . . to the point where it can lead to dehydration, malnutrition, weight loss and other problems.

--It's estimated that at most, only 2% of pregnant women get it.  Some estimates say the number is as low as three-tenths of a percent.  For most women, the issue resolves itself by about the 20th week of pregnancy.

--Kate will remain in the hospital for several days, after which she'll require, quote, "a period of rest."  There's potential for harm to the mother and child, but this doesn't seem to be one of those cases.

--An interesting side note, though:  Some experts say the condition is associated with TWINS.  There's no word if Kate is carrying what the Brits call "an heir and a spare" at the same time.

--This is the first child for Kate and PRINCE WILLIAM.

--That means Harry is now fourth in line for the throne, behind PRINCE CHARLES, Prince William and this unborn fetus.

--Of course, if Kate IS carrying twins, that means Harry is FIFTH.

--After getting ejected, he Tweeted, quote, "Just got kicked out of the chargers stadium and couldn't be prouder!  Go Cincy Bengals."

--After the Bengals won, he added, quote, "Bengals win again.  I'd talk trash to everyone in SD, but what's the point?  You already had me kicked out of the stadium and you still lost."

--"The Simpsons" beat "Family Guy" 36% to 30% . . . while 34% said they "didn't know" which one was funnier.

--As far as the comedic battle of the sexes goes, I think we can call this one:  MEN ARE FUNNIER THAN WOMEN.  That's according to 60% of Americans.  A mere 22% said women are funnier . . . while 15% said there's no difference.

--22% of Americans said "Seinfeld" is the greatest sitcom, giving it a slight edge over "The Honeymooners", which got 16% of the vote.

--"Just to clarify, I said, '[EFF] THOSE PEOPLE.'"
