Okay, I’m not a mom, but I think it’s 101 not to forget your baby at the airport. Although things happen, so let’s not judge this woman because we don’t know what it’s like to walk in her shoes.
Over the weekend a plane traveling to Malaysia was forced to return to the airport after a woman realized she forgot her baby. According to Fox 59, the pilot spoke to traffic controllers and decided to turn around and head back to Saudi Arabia. A video of the conversation was posted on YouTube and has been viewed over a million times.
“This flight is requesting to come back … a passenger forgot her baby in the waiting area, the poor thing,” the operator can be heard saying. “A passenger left her baby in the terminal and refuses to continue the flight,” the pilot says. The operator eventually goes on to say, “Ok, head back to the gate. This is totally a new one for us!”
The woman and her baby were reunited at the airport. No word on how old the child was or how far into the flight the plane was.
