Halloween is my Christmas! So I thought I’d share some of the fun crafting that I’ve been working on ….because let’s be honest- I started last month.
It’s easy to find different types of skeletons or skulls all over town- from craft stores to pharmacies but how can you upgrade them to make them ACTUALLY scary? It’s easier than you think! This was a very cheap foam skull I bought, it was already a little creepier than maybe the typical whimsical one which helped. Using a can of black spray paint I gave it a little bit of a dusting to add some depth to the face. Then I just took some regular old twine and wrapped it around the eyes & head in a freaky manner with some hot glue to hold the twine in place at the ends.
That’s it! You can shove that buddy on a pike, hang it from something, or just place it on a mantle. 🙂
I also always try to make things in a way in which they can be taken apart and used in a totally different way the next year. So Hot glue, duct tape, and wire is a great way to take it apart before you put it away until next year
Happy Haunting!
