Being Busy Keeps You Happy!

The ultimate suck of 2020 means I’m on the hunt for any little mood boosters I can find. One tip is just to stay busy! Psychology Today is a great resource for a lot of mental health support so I always go there. (It’s also a great place to find local therapists which is how I find mine!)

It turns out Psychology Today also found that being busy with ANYTHING can make you happier than doing nothing. The struggle is that mentally we often choose nothing because it sounds better in theory. Sitting around doing nothing rather than doing the dishes sounds great but in actuality doing those dishes will make us happier. So if you find yourself sitting around feeling crummy GO DO ANYTHING. It doesn’t have to be a chore, go get the mail, make a lasagna, draw a picture and put in on your fridge. Do something and be happy!
