Drive Thru Facts!

It’s National Fast Food Day! So while you’re hitting up your favorite spot to celebrate and sitting in that drive thru why not learn some interesting facts about that line you’re in! Tastemade.com found these cool facts for you….

The very first one opened in 1947! It was a Red’s Giant Hamburg (yes… Hamburg- like my Dutch Grandparents call them in Missouri. It was just off Route 66 so it made it work without the car hops leading to what we know today!

If you want the quickest and best service go in the early afternoon: The least amount of people go between lunch and dinner so you can just breeze right on through!

Wendy’s has the fastest line: Your wait time with the Ginger goddess averages around 130 seconds.  BK is the one averaging the slowest.

Chik-Fil-A Gets It Right: Fast is one thing but RIGHT is a whole different thing. Chik-Fil-A is the most accurate with 92% average correct orders. Poor Burger King gets the lowest accuracy rating at 82% which is still pretty good.

Dining in isn’t their cash cow: The Drive Thru is where 70% of their business comes from so it was WELL worth adding those drive up windows.
