Remember Sonny With a Chance on Disney Channel? It’s a little blurry for me, but that was the last regular scripted tv role Demi Lovato had (if you don’t count her recurring guest appearances on Will & Grace). That lasted from 2009 to 2011. Looks like Demi will return to the small screen with a new comedy on NBC call Hungry. That said, it’s in the works and on board to air a pilot. Plus, according to Deadline, she will be an executive producer.

“Hungry will follow a group of friends who belong to a food issues group and help each other as they look for love, success and that one thing in the refrigerator that will make it all better,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.

This is fitting as Demi Lovato has been open in recent years about dealing with an eating disorder.
