Taking your dog on a walk around the block to get some fresh air and let them do their business is typically a safe thing to do. However, on Wednesday, February 24, Lady Gaga’s dog walker was robbed, shot, and hospitalized while her two French Bulldogs, Koji and Gustav, were stolen. Several people believe this was a targeted attack.

The dog walker who has been identified as Ryan Fischer is considered a family friend and is currently in the hospital with critical injuries. The incident happened “around 9:40 p.m. on Sierra Bonita Avenue in Hollywood,” said People.com. Fischer was actually walking all three dogs and clutching Miss Asia who was later picked up by Gaga’s bodyguard.

Before moving to LA to walk Gaga’s dogs, Fischer worked in New York. An old client and good friend Dr. Fred Pescatore told Entertainment Tonight “[He was] incredibly close to them. Incredibly. I mean, would do anything for them. It’s just heartbreaking and I know he must’ve been absolutely trying to protect them. … He would literally lay down his life for any one of our dogs and I certainly hope that that was not the case this time.” A source also told ET that Gaga is “…beside herself…horrified…completely deviated and sickened.”

Gaga is currently in Italy and is offering a $500,000 reward for any information about the dogs.
