I’ve been seeing a lot of talk of “NFTs” on Twitter, but I don’t know what those are other than that it stands for “non-fungible tokens”

If you Google it, this comes up:

“A non-fungible token is a unit of data on a digital ledger called a blockchain, where each NFT can represent a unique digital item, and thus they are not interchangeable. NFTs can represent digital files such as art, audio, videos, items in video games and other forms of creative work.”

Pete Davidson took the opportunity to explain NFTs using an Eminem parody, which seems to be his go-to SNL sketch and I ain’t mad about it.

Just based on this video, I think NFTs are basically one-of-a-kind digital art pieces (GIFs maybe?) that are being sold for cryptocurrency.

Don’t feel bad if you still don’t get it… because I’m not confident I understand it. I mostly just like the SNL sketch.
