There was a lot of drama around this year’s Grammy Awards after The Weeknd was snubbed in every category and vowed not to submit his music for Grammy consideration until the Academy eliminated shady secret committees.

It seems like he may be able to submit any new music for this next round of awards in 2022 because the Recording Academy is doing away with anonymous groups rating submissions. Before 15 to 30 people in music could decide the fate of a record. This change means that everything will be peer-reivewed.

“With this change, the results of GRAMMY nominations and winners are placed back in the hands of the entire voting membership body, giving further validation to the peer-recognized process.”

Per Entertainment Weekly, on top of that, there will be two new categories: Best Global Music Performance and Best Música Urbana Album.
