I’ve heard of using mayo and olive oil for your hair, but this is a first for onions. Cardi B says onions are her secret to amazing hair, and honestly, it looks like it works.
She posted two pictures of her hair and said, “My last 2 washes I been boiling onions and using the water to wash my hair.
“I used to do this 6 years ago when I started my healthy hair growth journey. I stopped ’cause I got really lazy. It’s odorless and I notice that it’s been giving a shine to my hair.”
Apparently, there’s actual science behind this. The high sulfur content in an onion supposedly aids in the regeneration of hair follicles, and its antifungal properties are believed to help maintain scalp health.
My hair is currently a hot post-partum mess; I’m willing to try the onions.
