The very popular social media app has had many scares lately when it comes to the government threatening to shut down the China based company. There was a deadline set for Sunday, that if Tik Tok didn’t sell off its US operations, the app would be taken down in this region. However, late Saturday night, a deal was proposed with tech giant Oracle and Walmart to purchase the app’s US operations. Yes, the app is safe for now, but according to CNN another deadline has been added for September 27th. If the deal is not finalized by then, the government might act to shut it down.
