Several stores and restaurants have had to close their doors or alter their ways of doing business during these hard times. Nashville, Tennessee isn’t just dealing with this, but also recent tornado damage. Several people, including Nashville lover Taylor Swift, are doing what they can to give back to the community.

Taylor contacted Grimey’s New & Preloved Music, a Nashville record store, and is “supplying the store with money for each employee and three months’ worth of health care,” said Rolling Stone.

As one would guess, the store was very surprised when Taylor reached out. Grimey’s co-owner Doyle Davis told Rolling Stone, “we were very surprised, and I would have to say amazed, that Taylor Swift reached out to us through her publicist to offer some relief during the COVID-19 pandemic. I didn’t even know we were on her radar, but she really stepped up to help after the recent tornadoes that struck Nashville and middle Tennessee, and now she’s trying to help a beloved small business in her city.”

This isn’t the first time Taylor has given back to her community. She’s donated to Feeding America, the World Health Organization, and other organizations. Read more about Taylor Swift and the Nashville record store on RollingStones.com.
