2020’s Hardest Working State

Wallet Hub released its annual list of the hardest working states in America and spoiler: Indiana didn’t win.

Indiana State Capitol Building in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA.

They looked at things like work hours, employment rates, unused vacation days, how many people have more than one job, and how much we volunteer in our spare time and declared North Dakota this year’s hardest working state.

Rounding out the top ten states that need a vacation are: Alaska, Wyoming, Texas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Colorado, Virginia, Maryland, and Hawaii.

The top ten (bottom ten?) states that need to turn off the Netflix are: West Virginia, New Mexico, Rhode Island, Michigan, Ohio, Connecticut, New York, Oregon, Mississippi, and Arizona.

And since I know everyone is dying to know where Indiana ranked, we’re 19th. Take the rest of the day off, kids. You’ve clearly earned it.
