Demi Lovato just released her 7th album, Dancing With The Devil The Art of Starting Over” complete with the video to go with the title track.

Back in 2018, Demi was dealing with relapse from sobriety. She was drinking and doing drugs and eventually overdosed on heroin. She suffered 3 stroke and a heart attack and was left legally blind. Her doctors said she had 5-10 minutes to live, so when she sings “it was closer than you know,” she means it.

She spends most of the video in a hospital bed with tubes in her neck (similar to her overdose treatment to clean her blood.

Goosebumps. If you want the full story on her overdose and her new album, watch her new documentary series on YouTube.
