We Do A Lot Of Fake Laughing

Source: Cole Dunbar

In a recent survey out of Britain, 67% of people admitted that they’ve fake-laughed at jokes they don’t understand just to “fit in.”  And 56% have even retold a joke that they don’t understand.

Another 56% said they’ve looked up the meaning of a joke that they didn’t get.

The study also identified specific “jokes” that tended to confuse people, and these two tripped up almost half the people in the study:  One is . . . “How do you drown a Hipster?  In the mainstream.”  And the other is . . . “Time flies like an arrow.  Fruit flies like a banana.”
